Describe your project or startup in a few words

I want to be able to make liquid soap, but in small quantities which can be sold to the masses at a small fee. Considering the spike in prices of soap, I'm looking for therefore to create a cheaper alternative, everyone needs soap.

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

Of late there has been a hike in soap prices, making it hard for the common man to afford the soap. Some people are even resorting to using pawpaw leaves and ash in order to wash. There has also been a rise of smaller soap making companies who use lots of dangerous chemicals. Some workers in major soap companies have also resorted to stealing soap and trying to sell it at a lower fee. Soap is a staple commodity in every home. My idea is to make a multi purpose liquid detergent, but pack it in smaller quantities and distribute it to the masses at an affordable price, so that no household in my community goes a single day without soap

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

I am trying to make sure that the common man is able to afford soap. Bar soap has become quite expensive, and I want to produce an alternative of liquid soap which is cheaper compared to the bar soap

1. It will be multi purpose, such as it can be used for many cleaning purposes 2. It will be cheaper than ordinary bar soap.

The first partner is my mother, she has an orphanage, and therefore she is interested in a business idea that can generate some funds to keep the orphanage running. She will be in charge of the production process. The other partner is my sister, who is currently unemployed, and will be in charge of distribution and selling of the soap

Soap is used to clean and sanitize. This prevents some diseases, bacteria and some viruses. When utensils are clean, and clothes are clean, and floors and toilets are clean, the population is a healthy population

05.08 Justification

Most of the liquid soap products locally are packed in huge amounts making them a bit pricey for the consumers. We want to pack ours in smaller quantities, so that it becomes affordable for everyone. Also the distribution of the product. We intend to move throughout the community with the product, instead of putting it up on supermarket shelves where most of the local people will not be able to go to look for it.

05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?

There are a number of other producers of liquid detergent, but there products are packed in huge quantities. This makes it hard for low income earners to afford. We on the other hand want to pack our product in smaller quantities, which we can then distribute at a price which every household can afford
