Describe your project or startup in a few words

This project of mine will buy agricultural produce such as maize, beans among others and as well grow them in my farm and add value to them through packaging and grinding then sell to the locals during time of scarcity so as to ensure food security.

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

Ubuntu farm produce dealers will specialize in buying agricultural produce such as grains during the time when they are in plenty and keep in a well furnished store. This project will also focused on providing high quality products which will serve to meet the local demands in the community during time of scarcity. In this project, I will ensure value addition through putting in place the grinding mill, packaging machines and many more materials that can easily help in preservation of these agricultural produce to meet the scarcity period.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

The main problem that I am trying to solve is food security (hunger). This normally occurs because most local citizens tend to sell most of their agricultural products in need of money, this makes them to end up with nothing kept to await time for scarcity of what to eat. This has always caused a lot of suffering in terms of hunger and malnutrition

This project has the following benefits; -Providing food security for the time of scarcity. -Ensuring quality products for the locals such as packed maize flour, well kept beans. -Offering food stuffs to the locals at cheaper prices. -Ensuring constant supply of food stuff

My targeted beneficiaries are the locals individuals who majorly depends on farming which is seasonal And to some extent the entire country and the world as well

My project idea is a bit unique because it will engage in adding value on the products and making it much cheaper to be accessed by the local individuals. We also aim at making the food items to be available in our stores in all the seasons of the year

My main potential competitors are local produce dealers and weekly market vendors.. Although I intend to stand out from them through offering high value products and purchasing of the farmers products at a bit fair price compared to them
