Globally, 800 women die daily (223 deaths per 100,000 live births). In Uganda, maternal mortality still remains high, at 189 deaths for every 100,000 live births (UDHS, 2022). This is sometimes associated to inadequate access to health care information, delayed referrals, preventable diseases, poor interpersonal communication in antenatal care, digital divide and inadequate data models to enhance prediction and decision making. Tools like mobile phones, internet, smartphones, computers, community radio FMs, Social media and televisions have the potential to change things around.
