Describe your project or startup in a few words

MAVAZEN is basically a green energy for sustainable livelihood of people obtained basically from clothing fabric and materials which is modified to provide green and healthy energy.

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

The project name MAVAZEN is a fusion of Kiswahili language and English; "MAVA" from the word mavazi in Kiswahili meaning cloth and "EN" from English word Energy. I believe this project will have a positive impact on the ecosystem as it's main goal is to preserve and promote the green movement to save the planet. I got the motivation of coming up with this idea by reflecting the picture of where I come from where there's uncontrolled disposal of non degradable products and material. The government of Uganda recently implemented a fight to end plastic pollution by creating and setting up recycling plants but I believe more has be done as our swamps and lands are struggling with the negative effect impact of clothing material that's littered uncontrollably and this is one thing no one has identified, not even environmentalists but it's one thing that's silently killing our environment. I feel the aqualife, environment and life of people will be saved once this project is approved.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

1. The ecosystem. The aqualife is struggling as the fish, algae, and other living things are trapped and prevented from obtaining the necessary resources they need to strive effectively as a result of pollution 2. Energy provision A healthy and effective energy to promote the livelihood of people by eradicating the harmful effects of gases emitted during combustion of matter and respiratory complications as a result of poor energy sources. Thirdly providing a more convenient and affordable energy for the society. 3. Saving African mothers With the main cooking energy being firewood, I feel through our expertly designed stoves the negative impact of carbon emissions causing respiratory complications, afflictions, cancer etc shall be eradicated. 4. Availing energy Through provision of affordable, effective and reliable energy source for the community to eradicate the harm caused by other primitive methods.

It's healthy, efficient, durable and affordable Health wise the controlled smoke tends to protect people from respiratory afflictions and sicknesses as a result of air pollution Economically our products are sold to the people at an affordable price which enables them to beobtain them

01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

Due to our specially designed energy stoves that's both the stationery and mobile, everyone is a beneficiary since it can be used for indoor and outdoor cooking activities. 1. Homes The Marvazen energy stoves serve as household energy source for families both small and large. 2. Institutions Schools and colleges serve as beneficiaries too as the energy stoves can be installed to aid in timely preparation of meals for students since our product is fast and effective hence saving study time for the scholars. 3. Outdoor barbecues Our mobile stoves can be used for outdoor cooking services since the stove can be carried and positioned at any preferred location hence cooking can be done anytime-anywhere.

Since the process of our project is; collection of raw materials, delivery to factory, sorting, shredding, cleaning, boosting, compression/compaction to shape, packaging/branding and finally marketing. Besides there's the team that assembles the stoves. 1. Collectors They'll be strategically positioned for mobilizing raw materials 2. Deliverers Help to transport materials and products 3. Sorters They differentiate the clothing material types before being channelled into machines 4. Machine operators Aid in running and operation of equipment and plants i.e shredders, compressors 5. Packagers Load and wrap products in suitable cases and boxes 6. Technicians and fabricators They mould and assemble the energy stoves. 7. Sales agents They sell products to the customers.

1. Our raw materials are 100% obtained from the public (people) hence purchasing them helps to provide source of income for the people. 2. Employment of both skilled and unskilled labour provides source of income for the workers as they get paid for the work they do. 3. Since every by-product is put to utilization, we'll be giving back to our customers by purchasing back the ash from their stoves which will be used in construction sites and farms for neutralizing the PH of soils since ash is acidic in nature. 4. Promotions and free giveaways to the people will help the non-previleged to obtain our products which will uplift their way of living 5. Educating and empowering people with business skills and ideas will enlighten their mindset hence eradicating poverty by thinking positively

1. Securing this project will enable us to accomplish the dream of establishing a natural reserve forest comprising of one thousand different tree species that'll be planted to protect the instinct species above all conserving the environment. Our project leaves no byproduct so it points to the struggle to maintain the climate and eliminate harmful habits that tend to destroy the climate

Our product is unique as no residue or byproduct is left. The uniqueness the raw material used to generate energy makes us stand out differently from the rest of the other energy source providers. Our technically designed energy stoves with perfect smoke maintenance makes our products more fascinating. Our products are affordable, efficient, aesthetic, durable and eco friendly thereby making the project different from the rest.

The industry is filled with different energy source providers but we believe the quality and effectiveness of our products makes us stand out since they're expertly designed, tested and approved to provide a better

Yes, locally teaching the girl child through giving them hands on skills through hair dressing and braiding, making necklaces and beads, tailoring ( a skill I learnt from my mum) and I wish to feed the idea to ladies out there too
