01.01 Describe your project in more detail
1. The project will aim at Developing eco-tourism initiatives that generate revenue for rural communities while minimizing negative environmental impacts in the Albertine region in Uganda. 2. Conserve and protect local ecosystems, flora, and fauna through the implementation of sustainable practices. 3. The Project will consider empowering local communities by involving them in decision-making processes and providing training and capacity-building opportunities. 4. My project will aim at raising awareness among tourists about the importance of conservation and encourage responsible tourism practices. 5. Establish partnerships with relevant stakeholders, including local governments, NGOs, and private sector entities, to ensure long-term sustainability and effective management.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
As a result of uncontrolled Tourism a lot of enormous stress has been put on local land use, and lead to soil erosion, increased pollution, natural habitat loss, and more pressure on endangered species. These effects are gradually destroying the environmental resources on which tourism itself depends.
01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).
1. Increased income and employment opportunities for rural communities through the growth of eco-tourism activities. 2. Enhanced conservation and protection of natural resources and biodiversity in the target area of Albertine region in Uganda. 3. Strengthened capacity of local communities to manage and sustain eco-tourism initiatives. 4. Heightened awareness among tourists regarding conservation and responsible tourism practices.
01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?
Project Stakeholders includes Government Line departments, NGOs, Private Sector and local communities. Local communities of the people in the Albertine region will be the direct beneficiaries while indirect beneficiaries will also include surrounding communities,tourist operators down country, partners from private sector and government departments. 5 / 41 Theme A – Theme B – ad 2020 KNCF • The proposed project through its interventions over a period of one yearwill provide base for developing an international level Ecotourism Resort

1. Mr. Kisembo Edward is a professional Ict Teacher at kabalega ss Masindi District with much love for ecotourism and development of local communities . 2. Atugonza Barbra Phionah is a lawyer Doing private practice and an active member in creative life planning organization which is a community based organization. 3. Ariba Sharifah is a procurement officer in Uganda and partnering with Creative life planning organization Uganda and also a partner in this project. 4. Assimwe Daphine Katongole is the secretary of creative life planning organization and a partner in this project. 5. Mr. Edwin Businge is a profound Business man in Hoima district having a lot of businesses he runs around town.
