Skywes engineering services intends to deal in metal fabrication and welding, mainly focusing at making fabricated doors, windows, roofing works among others using steel, operating as a both mobile and stationed so as to meet the ever expanding market

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

Skywes engineering services, focuses on production of quality fabricated products like doors, windows, seats,burglars, and steel roofs among others and also motivate the youth to get engaged in production for both individual growth and help them better their lives. The project also emphasizes on the need to provide competence training to the less previlleged youth aimed at empowering them with technical skills in fabrication and roofing using steel to enable them compete well in the job market that requires skilled labour and increase on the country's labour force. The project also focusses on creating emploment and equall opportunities to the youth who are unemployed and make up to over 50% of uganda's population.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

Am solving anumber of problems ranging from unemployment among the youth which is attributed to theoretical knowledge acquired by learner at school compared to practice based (hands on) skills that the project emphasizes on giving to the youth which will in turn encourage them to create job rather than waiting to be employed. The project will promote the use of steel products like doors, windows, roofs among other there by conserving the environment by reducing dependence on tember for roofing and making furniture, doors, windows among others The project also focuses on bridging the increasing gap between supply and demand for fabricated products like steel houses, frames gurbions, doors, steel structures among others, since the demand for the products is greater than the supply because have limited number of artisans and technicians majoring in this field and luck of motivation and interest from potential youth who could join the industry to work.

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).

The use of steel & all minimum products reduces heavy dependence on wood as a result trees are protected thus conserving the environment Steel is more durable compare to the use wood in construction. Steel can easily be recycled. Global warming is controlled since there is limited use of wood which allows trees to grow which are responsible for cubing green house gasses.

01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

The project targest to serve all people intending to undertake construction projects and need metalic doors and windows. Those who intending to roof using steel are highly targeted by this project. Institutions and individual intending to make fabricated seats, tables , desks among others. People or institutions intending to put up steel structures like ware houses, schools, churches, fuel staione(canopies) among others are all higly Target by the project. Unskilled and unemployed youth in the community who wish to attain (hands on) skills training with us are also Target by the project .

The product is a new version of the old for example previously people used to make wooden windows, doors , furniture and roof which they are slowly moving away to the metalic and steel products

05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?

The main competitors are people making wooden products which as the ones I intend to make , and the people who already own fabrication workshops, what make me stand out of them is that am flexible enough I will be offering mobile fabrication as well which has not been the case , someone had to go to a particular workshop to place an order for such products like doors windows among other , skywes engineering services will give options of doing all this at a place very convenient with the clients.
