End-of-life vehicles pose a threat of landfill waste and hazardous material contamination. BSB provides eco-friendly recycling, recovers reusable parts & materials and safely disposes hazardous waste, thus promoting sustainability & resource efficiency.

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

There comes a time when a vehicle reaches the end of its service life. At this point, the vehicle is processed to recover usable parts for resale or remanufacturing, in the process conserving materials and energy. As part of the de-pollution procedure, all fluids and hazardous materials are removed and transported to a licensed disposal or recycling facility. The vehicle then undergoes a shredding process, which fragments it into a mix of ferrous metals (Iron & steel) and non ferrous metals (aluminum & copper). The ferrous metals are reused in the production of new steel, whereas the non ferrous metals are refined and reused in various manufacturing processes. The non metallic residues (plastics, rubber, & glass) are managed according to the environmental regulations, most often through safe disposal in an incinerator with energy recovery. BSB Auto Recycling Concepts aims to promote a more sustainable and energy-efficient economy.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

BSB auto recycling concepts is trying to address the environmental and economic impact of end-of-life vehicles. Without effective recycling, these vehicles contribute to significant waste in landfills and environmental contamination from hazardous materials. Auto recycling mitigates these issues by properly dismantling vehicles, recovering usable parts and materials, (for resale and remanufacture), and ensuring safe disposal of hazardous substances, thereby promoting sustainability and resource efficiency.

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).

1. Environmental Protection. Proper de-pollution procedures and recycling of vehicles prevents hazardous substances like (oils, refrigerants, and heavy metals), from contaminating the soil and water, thus protecting ecosystems and public health. 2. Sustainability. BSB auto recycling concepts will contribute to a circular economy, promoting sustainable practices by ensuring that vehicle materials are continually reused and repurposed. 3. Economic Benefits. We will create jobs and stimulate economic activity in the local community by the supporting industries related to dismantling and shredding. 4. Cost Savings for Consumers. We will provides affordable, high-quality replacement parts for customers, hence reducing the cost of vehicle maintenance and repairs. 5. Energy Savings. By recycling metals, especially steel and aluminum, uses significantly less energy than producing these metals from primary ores, leading to lower greenhouse gas emissions and reduced fossil fuel consumption.

01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

1. The Steel industry by providing raw materials for the manufacture of new materials. 2. Auto parts retailers & repair garages. By supplying low cost, high quality parts helps these businesses meet customer demands more efficiently and affordable. 3. Direct Consumers (Car owners) By gaining access to affordable, and reliable reusable parts for vehicle maintenance and repairs. 4. The local community. They benefit from job creation, economic growth from outsourced services. 5. Automobile manufacturers. Providing a steady supply of recycled materials, reducing production costs and reliance on primary ores. 6. The general Public who benefit from a cleaner environment, reduced greenhouse gas emissions, and the conservation of natural resources.

1. Ms. Joanita Ayebare, She holds a Bachelor's degree of Business Computing from Makerere University Business School (MUBS). She is currently pursuing a professional course in marketing under the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and has completed level 1. She is skilled in the field of Tax compliance and Business registration, with an eight years work experience at Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB). 2. Mrs. Stella-Maris Kamanyire, A retired primary teacher well know for her book keeping skills. She has been and is trusted by many of the local community members in her circles to keep and account for the finances entrusted to her. She is trustworthy when it comes to finances.

The main potential competitors are the traditional scrap metal yards and Digital platforms like Jumia, that facilitate the sale and exchange of used auto parts. By focusing on the strategies below, we differentiate BSB auto recycling concepts from the competition, attracting a loyal customer base, and establish a competitive edge in the market. • We focus on exceptional customer service by providing personalized assistance, quick response times to inquiries, and efficient handling of orders and supplies. • We emphasize the quality and reliability of our recycled auto parts. Our team conducts thorough inspection and testing processes to guarantee that parts meet the industry standards. • Through strategic partnerships with auto repair shops, and garages we are able to expand our network and reach more customers. • We maintain transparency in your operations, pricing, and product information, providing detailed descriptions, photos, and accurate condition assessments of each part.

No
