McaRe Project aims at preventing Mother to Child Transmission by extensively Training Team Leads that will be selected based on their leadership potential in a given cohort and also improving financial independence of these women through provision of loan

McaRe Project aims at preventing Mother to Child Transmission by extensively Training Team Leads that will be selected based on their leadership potential in a given cohort. The team leads will be trained to psycho educate, provide family therapy, motivate and follow up expectant mothers that are HIV positive and have been initiated on Antiretroviral therapy. Link these expectant mothers with community organisations and groups for social and material support McaRe will create a strong link between the healthcare providers in charge of the ART clinic and the different team leads to ensure that the clients get ARVs that can last them for 1 quota( this is to reduce on their transport costs) and also register newly diagnosed or any client that whose information will not have been registered after consenting from the mothers.

Mcare aims at reducing the rate of mother to child transmission of HIV/AIDs and improving financial independence of these women through provision of loans at a small interest rate

There will be a reduction in the HIV transmission between mother to child with improved financial independence of these women

Most projects available provide facility based health services with no financial assistance but mcare will provide financial literacy, loans to women interested to start up businesses or boost those already existing in the society as well as home based health services
