01.01 Describe your project in more detail
This project aims to provide customers with the convenience of ordering fresh groceries online and having them delivered directly to their homes. Our platform, accessible through a website or mobile app, allows users to browse and purchase a wide variety of fresh produce, meats, dairy products, and other essentials. With a simple and user-friendly interface, customers can easily select their preferred items, track their orders, and receive timely updates on delivery status. This innovative solution aims to revolutionize the way people shop for groceries, saving time and effort while ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
Convenience for customers: Online ordering allows customers to shop for groceries from home without having to go to the store. This provides greater convenience and flexibility compared to traditional in-store shopping.Improved order accuracy: An online system eliminates errors that can occur when orders are taken over the phone or in person. Customers can clearly see and confirm their order before placing it.Better inventory management: Online systems provide real-time visibility into inventory levels, allowing grocers to better anticipate demand and stock the right products.Reduced operational costs: Online ordering and delivery can be more efficient and cost-effective than traditional in-store shopping, as grocers can reduce overhead costs like rent, utilities, and staffing for physical stores.Expanded customer reach: Online grocery delivery allows stores to serve customers outside their immediate geographic area, expanding the potential customer base.

Increased Convenience for Customers The online ordering and home delivery service provided by this project offers customers a convenient way to access fresh groceries without the need to physically visit a store. This is particularly beneficial for individuals with busy schedules, limited mobility, or those living in remote areas, as it eliminates the time and effort required for traditional grocery shopping. Improved Access to Fresh and Quality Produce By sourcing directly from suppliers and implementing efficient logistics, the project ensures that customers receive fresh, high-quality groceries delivered to their doorsteps. This helps to address the challenges faced by some consumers in accessing fresh and nutritious food options, especially in areas with limited access to traditional grocery stores. Time and Cost Savings The online ordering and delivery service provided by the project can save customers significant time and money compared to traditional grocery shopping

Customers: Convenience and flexibility for customers to order groceries from home without having to go to the store. Access to fresh and healthy food options, especially for those in underserved or transportation-scarce areas. Ability to browse and select products online, reducing the need for in-store shopping. Grocery Stores and Retailers: Expansion of customer reach beyond immediate geographic areas. Improved inventory management and reduced operational costs. Enhanced customer satisfaction and loyalty through convenient delivery options.

Partner 1- She is a university administrator in the UK, Queen Mary University. Frequent visitor to Uganda and she is into supporting local business ventures. She holds great skills in public relations and marketing. Partner 2- She is a small business holder dealing in fresh juice and a statistician by profession. Currently pursuing a masters in statistics. She is good with numbers and projecting sales given available data sets.

It also enhances sales of local products by vendors who are members of the community, this helps boost the market sales hence increased profit margins lowering the poverty Gap.

Through the use of electric motorcycles as a means of delivery we shall be achieving affordable and clean energy. This is through cutting down use of fossil fuels as an energy source for running machines.

05.08 Justification
The product we are creating is an improvement for an existing product but with us dealing specifically in groceries where other companies have missed out on yet its very critical point with them dealing in other needs like home appliances and food cooked this makes it an extension of the older products but with improvements to create a product that meets the demands and needs of a consumers.
05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?
The main competitors are delivery services like Glovo and personal boda bodas who do shopping for their clients. What makes us stand out from Glovo is that we offer delivery services for house hold groceries and not only cooked foods as done by Glovo. We shall be doing shopping for fresh groceries from the local markets and delivering directly to our clients. And for the personal boda bodas, of which not every person has a trusted one, with our system anyone with access to the site through the internet can order and get their goods bought and delivered for them with live tracking of how far the goods are and also requests to purchase items from particular stores of interest.
10.06 Are you initiating actions within your community to promote the role of female entrepreneurs?
Yes, I help support my female friend who makes scented candles promote her business online through posting her products on my whatsapp status for viewship by potential clients. I also help my friend who sells juice by assisting her when making and packaging the juice. Sometimes I do the selling too on her behalf when she is not available.
