D-madam is an online business that allows you to quickly & cheaply shop for all your child's school requirements at your comfort and convenience. Forget long supermarket queues & high prices,city traffic and kikuubo congestion and welcome an easy life!

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

D-madam comes short for Deliver Madam. 1. This is an online business that will allow parents to quickly and cheaply shop for their children's school requirements at their own comfort and convenience. D-madam will make bulk purchases of every school requirement a child might need and price it on its application. 2.The user will then select all that they need and have it billed and delivered to their location. D-madam shall charge a delivery fee for each package made. 3.D-madam's ultimate goal is to manufacture, in-house, two thirds of all of the products it displays on its platform. 3. Also, since the backbone of D-madam is social enterprising, a part of its profits will be dedicated to educate male street children. This commitment will be introduced at its launch and promoted along with its services. Clients must know that for every purchase they make for their own child, they are contributing to educating another hopless male child.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

The main problem we are solving is school preparation shopping experience and as part of our story, boychild illiteracy. I started to see this problem as early as my own school days. My mother had to spend nearly two days just shopping for us.And with my father giving her money, last minute. She always found prices hiked during this period. I often had to accompany her and we would walk for so long in that congestion and heat looking for fairer prices that fit the budget. This made me dread the entire process of school preparation. And as I saw it then, so it is even until now. D-madam intends to offer convenience, fair prices, redeem time and improve shopping experience. And lastly,the gap between girl and boy support is increasing by the day. It is from this, that D-madam will contribute part of its profits in educating street boy childern.

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).

1.Quick and hassle free. The user will not have to waste hours or even a day looking for the requirements. Everything will be found with just a click. 2. Good prices. Usually, during this period of taking back children to school or even visiting them. Prices of nearly everything are hiked. But with D-madam,prices don't fluctuate. 3. Convenience and comfort. Users will not have to make long queues in supermarkets or congest themselves in the heart of downtown just to buy. They can get everything done at the comfort of their space. 4. Social fulfillment. Users will have a sense of purpose knowing that their money is doing another hopless child some good.

First Partner is a computer engineer with skills in systems troubleshooting, website and apps development,digital marketing. He has over four years of experience managing software systems. Second partner is a procurement and Logistics personnel with good skills in supplier sourcing,cargo handling, warehousing and logistics management. She has over four years of experience in their field.

D-madam will start out as a e-commerce business but with time will grow into a manufacturing company. The goal is to produce about 1/3 of what is displayed on the platform. This is to create a bigger loop of sustainability and quality to its clients.

05.08 Justification

My product is specific to a selected market niche. We are serving children across the globe. And allowing their parents the time and convenience they need to do other things. Anyone with a child will have a one stop center to get everything their child will need for school.

05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?

Jumia, Jiji. Glovo My competitive advantage is my product and service offering. It is niche selective.And the fact that I bulk purchase, pack and resell to my client, means that, I have the ability to control pricing and product quality unlike the two of them. Also, the fact that D-madam is a social enterprise that doesn't only focus on making money but also changing lives of hopless street boy children.

Yes. In my business I hire and train females and also source my raw materials from female led businesses.
