PORK PALACE RESTAURANTS
Describe your project or startup in a few words
Pork Palace Restaurants envisions a world where every pork meal is a masterpiece and every purchase supports the prosperity of small-scale pig farmers, ensuring a future where luxury dining and social impact go hand in hand.
01.01 Describe your project in more detail
We envision Pork Palace Restaurants as a chain of fast food restaurants that specializes in fried and roasted pork across the world. We hope to offficially launch the venture in November of 2024 in Tororo Manicipality. The Project aims to perform two activities; i) We hope to have chains of restaurants across the world in which the high and middle class citizens meet to spend their money on delicious pork meals. This class of citizens tends to like Delicious, hygienic pork with good customer care. They don't like cooking so prefer fastfood ii) We also hope to work closely with the so called small holder farmers who rear pigs on small scale but have been earning very minimal profits. We hope to empower them with excellent quality breeds of pigs with high return. Additionally, we hope to be a link between the farmers and veterinary/etension workers that guide them on feeding , treatment and vaccination of pigs. We hope to benefit from these farmers as their only customers for the pigs.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
On average one Ugandan eats 3.5 Kgs of Pork annually, the East African nation that is biggest pork consumer in Africa and coming in second globally after China. (CGTN 2023). However observations show that the high and middle class citizens do not feel the vibe that comes with the delicious meals due to; i) Very few to no pork restaturant that meets their hygienic, delicacy, diversity of pork recipes and customer services that they need. ii)There are no designated good quality sitting areas for these kinds of people compared to other foodhubs for other meats like chicken. Finally Pork joint owners do not mind on where the pigs come from, as others are seen selling pigs that weigh less than 20Kg. This is because the small holder farmers who are the main stakeholders of the venture are neglected, they have not been empowered enough to earn a living out of this venture so they just look for quick money.
01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).
i) Pork Palace restaurants provides a hygienic and good quality pork delicacy. ii) A High standard Restaurant venue that is confortable for all classes of people will be provided. iii) Eating from Pork Palace Restaurant will be an empowerment to small holder pig farmers. Actually, we shall provide them with resources required to grow them into large scale farmers with us being their readily available market. iv) We hope to work best with time, we shall value the time of our customers. v) At pork palace restaurant we hope to continiously innovate on our menu to ensure that new recipes are brought on board.
01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?
We hope to serve all people that enjoy and luxuriously spend for pork but most importantly the middle and high class citizens that need hygienic and good quality pork. We also hope to serve the small Holder farmers by empowering them into high income earners through the project, this is through providing them with resources and connections to high productivity pig farming practices.
