An initiative aimed at transforming L .Victoria shores &Island communities in Uganda, focused on no more plastic deposit in lake,creating green spaces with safe clean water by promoting sustainable healthy enviromental practices in habitable daily life.

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

The save nature project aim / objectives and methodology to improve lifehood lakeshores and island communities in lake Victoria Uganda. 1. Reforestation and afforestation: Planting trees and vegetation to restore the natural beauty of the islands. 2. Sustainable agriculture practices: Promoting eco-friendly farming methods to reduce environmental impact. 3. Plastic pollution reduction: Implementing measures to reduce plastic waste and promote recycling. 4. Community engagement and education: Educating local communities on the importance of environmental conservation and involving them in the project's decision-making process 5. Community outreach and education: Organizing workshops, training sessions, and awareness campaigns to engage local communities. 6. Tree planting and green spaces creation: Collaborating with local organizations to plant trees and create green spaces. 7. Sustainable agriculture practices: Providing training and resources to promote eco-friendly farming methods.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

1. Plastic materials deposit in lake, this will be done through sensational/ awareness of community and olso by creating Plastic recycling projects . 2. Poor sanitation practices , to promote sustainable healthy enviromental practices like safe clean water for demostic, proper use of public toilets and waste pits or bin . 3. Deforestation ,this to be done through sensational and awareness of community, leaders and boats owners to tame their works against clearance of green spaces hence encourage them to use cooking gas and to incorporate innovating skills of soil-grass-animal waste charcoal to be used innovated saving stoves , lastly by providing 2 tree seedlings to every community members to plant round their residential camp 4. Poverty, this to be reduced at lowest level line through projects initiated in community and through sensational/ workshops of small scale farming of fruits/ greens, fish farming and Animal rearing , poultry keeping, bee keeping and many others.

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).

It's general benefits to community based at islands and those living on main land shoers, they will achieve clean shores/ beaches / landing sites with out plastic materials which create area unhabitable for both human and animals/ fish, on human plastics materials becomes breeding points of mosquitoes and they are undecoposable if burried in soil hence hindering Agricultural practices And on Animals they eat polythene bags they die, lastly on fish plastic materials creates un safe habitatable environment on lake bottom the breeding sites of fish.

communities/ residents who lives on shoreline and in islands of lake Victoria Uganda. The mainly targeted groups are fish folks and local traders/ retail business and public waters transporters, beach management team and entire community.

This has been generalized, since we all team of mariners ( marine industry) we have same skills of boat Skippers / captain and Vessel mechanics with experience of 10 years and more

Providing knowledge and skills of harvesting clean safe water to communities Improving people healthy practices like regularly hand wash behaviors Providing Skills and knowledge in Agriculture - smal scale fruits and vegetables projects and fish farming , poultry keeping. Bear keeping, Teaching targeted communities Skills of wates- charcoal Getting employed with in projects initiated in community like operating plastic recollection sites.

02.02.02 Zero hunger - Justification

If plastic materials are completely stop from depositing in water and on shoreline, There will be higher fish breeding due clean and safe lake bottom hence community will harvest enough fish for home consumption and trading Even shoreline will become fertile for farming and yields will be high for homesteads consumption and trading, Animal rearing, poultry keeping, basing on projects with skills tranformation being introduced in community.

This initiative / project directly implements healthy well-off lifestyle of community living at shores and at islands of lake Victoria in Uganda Once plastic materials are well deposited, level of pests like mosquitoes and other worms which harbors in there will nolong be threats to people living in community. And during sensational process there will be awareness programs of drink and use safe water plus regular hand was methodology as per current WHO programs all will be incorporated. During projects implementation there will medical campaigns and camps with support from ministry of health and other health based organizations.

Through sensational and awareness campaigns about save nature for our healthy livehood, project will strongly encourage / rally community to initiate / take children to school, and project will develop workshops to teach and train young mothers and youth fathers earn- based -skills to improve there livelihood in community.

This is one of project core , to provide clean safe water knowledge in community and imptove environmental public health friendly practices . Project will initiate clean safe water workshops to community-based groups and leaders for better understanding and knowledge- skills transformation leaving no one un sensitised. Sensational of communities about health practices ,like cleaning hands regularly, uses toilets and waste pits/ bin correctly , allocating more waste collection sites ( bins ) in community to say at every 700mters should be Installed. Energy free Safe clean water filtration machines will be provided to projects groups to Aid on inadequate government provided tap water in communities.

Through sensational process community will be rallied to use renewable energy and project will encourage teams or Individuals with renewable energy innovations , Like project will support in making environmental friendly charcoal from food wastes and animals plus soil to be used in innovatived saving stoves. Community will be encouraged to used eco-friendly energy like cooking compressed gas in there homesteads.

05.08 Justification

This is new ( idea ) methodology approach tocarb and to stop more depositing of plastic materials and other related ( danger substances to environment) mainly on lakeshores particularly lake Victoria. Sensational and awareness through formal education aggagment with stake holders who directly involved practices of environmental degradation on ground during fishing activities, transportation and local retail trading plus beach management team in community. This justifies the uniqueness of this community based initiative / project towards lifestyle improvements through promoting health social practices and sustainable homesteads income generation business through Agriculture / farming and fishing .
