Describe your project or startup in a few words

polypropylene pellets are used to make a range of packaging materials. Uganda will start oil drilling, at the same time, we are moving towards value addition of our agricultural products and minerals, packaging material is needed, am here to solve that

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

a range of packaging material is needed depending on which product we are packing. with the polypropylene pellets that are made from crude oil waste material, that will be drilled in the Albertine region in Western Uganda, we will look at further combating this raw material into pellets that are a raw material for packaging material. most of the pellets are imported from south Africa and the Middle East, when the production kicks off, we are looking at the many manufacturing plastic companies that are within the country and w shall be able to supply them, increase our revenue locally, provide employment and also save the environment with the wastes of the crude oil. this will also be under the presidents call for industrialisation and also value addition of our products to compete favourably in the world market

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

availability of the raw material in the region is the major solution am looking at here. the pellets are being imported from south Africa and middle east , also am looking at combating the waste materials of the crude oil and taking a portion off from what is being dispersed into the environment

reducing on the wastes of crude oil dispersed into the environment hence protecting the environment ready availability of the pellets into the region hence less time taken into production. value addition of the oil being extracted as well as creating employment opportunities for youths

05.08 Justification

dealing with crude oil by products will be something new to Uganda, it will involve experts and also high level technology since it will be the first of its own and this makes my project unique

05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?

my main competitors are suppliers from middle east and south africa, one is the distance between the supply chain will be greatly reduced, the pricing will also be greatly reduced since there will be less transport costs.

yes, the people i created this project are female who are actively engaged
