Swavelink application is a product of Startboom Digital. Swavelink application is a social media platform with e-commerce. Over 40 African countries have so far signed the African free trade area so Swavelink is support this trade growth.

Swavelink application is a product of Startboom Digital. Swavelink application is a social media platform with e-commerce. Over 40 African countries have so far signed the African free trade area however they have not made a tool to enable this trade to take place. We know that intra African trade is not above 200 billion dollars yet trade with other continents is over 500 billion dollars. So the mission of our application is to see that the intra African trade grows to one trillion dollars in our life time. We also know that not trade can happen if people are alien to each other so Swavelink having a social media element helps to connect Africans on the continent and the e-commerce element helps these connected people do business. We have build this platform to support cross boarder trade on the continent since we are mapping the trade values chains first in east African region. 01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

We want to grow the intra African trade of products and services made on the continent., to boost the lives of many Africans from poverty by widening there products and services market beyond their country to the whole of Africa. A country might have a limited market or purchasing power for a product or service so we aim to widen the market for any African and enable them to access all African markets to ensure that their products and services have consumers at any time, we also want to connect Africans to socialize and network through our social media element of the application. We realised that Africans don't know each other and hence can't do business among them selves. Our application is breaking the physical borders and creating the biggest marketing on the continent.

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).

When one uses our Swavelink application they get access to all African markets selling goods or services and they also get to connect with anyone on the continent. This is over vision to create on central marketplace for all Africa goods and services made on the continent.

Africans that produces goods and services luck a wider market that can change their fortunes our application that enables intra African trade is a big opportunity to fight poverty on the continent. Allowing the flow of good from one end to the other alone creates many jobs contributing to that value chain so it has potential to lift many people out of poverty.

We know that trade can't be sustainable unless the people doing it have access to know that facilities good trade we have already partnered with a business advisor agency and incorporated it in our application to train Africans on business development and running. The technology we are applying is not new but our innovation is different because it's being together social networking with e-commerce and on a continental scale. So we are different from all currently existing companies since we are also promoting majorly African made products and services to Africans on the continent.

Jumia, AliExpress these are already in the market and they have a lot of money.

Yes I have employed 2 women to work in our organisation.
