Describe your project or startup in a few words

Am always Dreaming of Starting up a modern middle scale farm which can later grow into a big Farm specializing in especially Maize production and can run through out the year with the help of irrigation systems.

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

The project will major in maize production where we can have 3 harvests in a year with help irrigation systems and artificial drying of maize once it has matured not having to wait for the seasonal rain and Sunlight to dry which reduces the Harvests to only 2 harvests in a year. And with the help of skilled Youths already available in the uganda market this can be achievable even beyond expected. Here we plant maize in january then aid ut with modern irrigation systems to grow more healthy through appropriate fumigation as advised by specialized agricultural scholars, then harves kn mid march, prepare the field for half a month for another planting in April which will then be aided by the April seasonal rains to be harves again in Mid july and taken to driers fo final drying then again after the field preparations another planting goes in early September and harvested in early December to get ready for another year in January. All these planting are to be supplemented by irrigation.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

The main issue being solved and Dealt with is food security for our community and the world at Large. And also solve the problem of unemployed among the youths as many both graduates and non graduates will be employed in the project.

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).

1. Food crisis being tackled locally and all over. 2.The youths gets employed and can face their challenges without fear developing into responsible citizens. 3. A farm tk be used as a model farm to rest of the community to even help People fight poverty by having more and planned harvests in a year.

01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

The project is aimed at helping the local youth with employment in the farm both skilled and non skilled, it can also generate revenue for the government as many goods sold can be taxed.

With the use of modern innovative agricultural systems like the irrigation, artificial drying chambers and value additions we believe we out stand in innovative in the sector.

05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?

The main potential competitor are the local farmers and i stand out because of convenience of the products since production is continuous throughout the because we are not waiting for natural rain to plant ir not waiting for the products to drying with natural sun heat but rather use of driers hence availability of the products at all times.

10.06 Are you initiating actions within your community to promote the role of female entrepreneurs?

Yes i always engaged in community based savings circles where women are having more members and encourage them to keep saving to empower themselves.
