01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
The initiative recognizes the vulnerability of young High School girls and aims to intervene through sports and empowerment activities, offering them a safe and constructive environment that can help them avoid risky behaviors and build a better future for themselves. 1. Addressing the issue of young girls being involved in risky behaviors like drug abuse and commercial sex work. 2. Using sports and empowerment programs as a positive alternative to steer them away from these harmful behaviors. 3. Providing opportunities and support for young girls to have a promising future.
01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).
1. Access to quality soccer equipment and facilities: Having access to quality soccer equipment, such as balls, cleats, and uniforms, can help boost the confidence and self-esteem of the young girls involved in the program. Providing a dedicated soccer ground or field creates a safe and constructive space for the girls to engage in physical activity, develop teamwork skills, and build a sense of community. 2. Improved physical and mental well-being: Participation in sports like soccer promotes physical fitness, which can lead to better overall health and reduced risk of various diseases. Engaging in sports activities can help alleviate stress, anxiety, and depression, which are common challenges faced by vulnerable youth. 3. Development of valuable life skills: Through soccer and the associated empowerment programs, young girls can learn important life skills such as teamwork, communication, discipline, goal-setting, and resilience.
