01.01 Describe your project in more detail
The Infants and Toddlers project is a comprehensive initiative aiming to support parents, infants, and toddlers during crucial stages of growth and development, thereby establishing a solid foundation for their future well-being. Addressing the safety of these young individuals while their parents are at work necessitates a united effort from policymakers, communities, businesses, and individuals to establish a protective environment that safeguards them. Central to this effort is early childhood education, with programs focusing on delivering high-quality early childhood education tailored to infants and toddlers. These initiatives often incorporate structured learning activities, play-based learning, and interactions geared towards nurturing cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development in young children. Additionally, parenting support plays a pivotal role, offering classes, workshops, home visits, and informational resources on child development to empower parents.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
The modern working parents face significant challenges in finding suitable childcare options that meet their needs. Traditional childcare services often fall short in providing the flexibility required by the modern workforce. Parents today face rigid schedule, high costs and static schedules when it comes to childcare but also In Tanzania, children face significant challenges not only from strangers, but also from those entrusted with their care. Domestic workers, close relatives, and family friends often become perpetrators of abuse, creating an epidemic of violence against children in the country. Many young individuals endure horrific ordeals, such as physical beatings, deprivation of food, humiliation, and sexual abuse, including rape and unnatural acts. Tragically, some children are even killed due to misguided religious beliefs.
