Syd is the cargo-logistics project that aim to integrate well rooted technology and modes of transportation (fleets) so as increase efficiency in supply chain for both organisation and customer.

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

In Tanzania and African countries in general adjustment to new fragment of logistics is complicated and far most behind. Most companies tend to maintain their existing services with minimal adjustment to digitalisation logistics market. Leading to more difficulties in supply chain such as congestion in loads and information insufficiency. Source: world economic forum and supply chains news 2023. With syd, the project focuses on eliminating information and management inefficiency by emerging innovative technology platform and increase of fleets (initially trucks) to increase cargo movement.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

The main problem we aim to solve are 1) Technology insufficiency in logistics and supply chain. 2) Congestion or delay of cargo movement.

1. Optimized Resource Allocation: SYD platforms enable efficient allocation of resources, ensuring that each fleet is utilized to its maximum capacity along with operations. This leads to improved resource management and enhanced overall productivity. 2. Increased Flexibility: By leveraging technology platforms, logistics companies can quickly adapt to changes in demand and market conditions. This allows for better responsiveness to customer needs and market fluctuations. 3. Reduced Costs and redundancies: Through technology platform, partnering with B2B logistics related companies, ensures sufficient flow of information to respective customers. 4. Scalability: SYD platforms offer scalable solutions that can accommodate the growth of logistics operations. it can be done by adding more vehicles or expanding into new geographic areas, scaling up to meet the evolving needs of the business. 5. Improved Customer Service: With better operations results higher customer retention rates.

What can make me outstand them is 1) Advanced Technology Integration and platform by Leveraging AI for predictive analytics, real-time tracking, and optimization of logistics operations. This technological edge ensures greater efficiency and responsiveness compared to traditional logistics providers along with utilizing IoT devices for real-time monitoring of cargo conditions, fleet management, and route optimization, providing superior service quality and reliability.
