Through the power of story telling,THE BEST YOU aims to unleash youths' potential,helping them discover,develop and monetize their talents.The project will provide training,mentorship and platforms to showcase their abilities in fostering self-employment.

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

Starting with the talent of composition, this project aims to inspire people to realize the value of the talent(s) they carry,especially young women who largerly experience a state of economic dependence. Through trainings, mentorship and platforms provided by the project,they will be able to showcase those talents,commercialize and have a way to generate personal income. Improvements in project participants' skills and feedback from the community will increase awareness about the value of monetizing talents and convince more people, organizations, institutions and even the government to join us in achieving the goal.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

ECONOMIC DEPENDENCY; Our project aims to reduce the wave of unemployed youths,where most of them spend alot of time online to pursue things that are not developmentally productive. By encouraging them to use their talents as capital, the project will foster self employment as well as entertaining youths with educative and productive contents.

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).

1.The project has positive effects on mental health and well-being through stories and real life testimonies that provides comfort,inspiration, and emotional support. Sometimes people need to hear a motivating story,to have a person in their lives to confirm to them that they are in the right path. 2.By using talents (such as composition, writing,etc.) as inspired by the project a person gets a certainity of self-employment as an initial means of economic sustenance and thus reduce the problem of unemployment among young people in Tanzania. 3.The project inspires positive changes in the society; Stories appeal to our senses and emotions,not only drawing our attention more easily,but also leaving an impact on us as audiences. This makes storytelling powerful in delivering messages that might last a lifetime.

01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

THE BEST YOU basically focuses on motivating young women to use various opportunities to generate income by starting with the talents they carry. Through this project, we intend to also reach youths and upcoming youths (teenagers) who are unemployed or in one way or another are at risk of facing the problem of unemployment. The project will use online platforms as a way to reach them,present various messages and contents that will entertain,educate and train them in various life scopes. The contents provided through this project will encourage young people to use their talents as capital for economic self-sufficiency.

CHRISTOPHER MDACHI: An extrovert,decent,hardworking young man with persuasive ability, generally an influencer,a good story teller and public speaker. MARY JOSEPHAT: Blessed with a supportive character,filled with motivation spirit,she is a mediator with ability to encourage others,a critical thinker,able to sing and well experienced in medicines. CESARIA MAJIYA: A motivator advanced in computer skills,well experienced in graphics design,video and audio production.She has good communication skills, and enterpreneurial character.

Talents like composition especially creating stories and narratives,promotes legacy,language development and critical thinking skills contributing to quality education for all. Narrative stories also have the power to evoke emotions and empathy by crafting ideas and concepts that depict the challenges faced by people in real life. Through this project,talented youths can raise awareness among the general public and policymakers about the realities of life. This increased awareness can lead to greater public support for initiatives. Also the project ensures Social and Emotional Learning: By exploring characters' emotions, relationships, and moral dilemmas, people develop empathy, self-awareness, and interpersonal skills, laying the foundation for positive social interactions and emotional well-being.

05.08 Justification

Many composers have grown up using their stories and narratives to entertain the audience, but The Best You will use stories, narratives and testimonies not only as entertainment but also to inspire people to realize the value of the talent(s) they carry,especially young women who largerly experience a state of economic dependence. Due to the fact that many people tend to spend a lot of their time online, especially youths, the project will use this opportunity to foster self employment as well as entertain them with educative and productive contents in delivering the message. THE BEST YOU will also organize workshops to help youths identify their talents and conduct training sessions to enhance specific talents for instance,art classes,music lessons and writing workshops. To monitor progress and address challenges, the project will hold regular meetings ( virtual or in-person) between participants and people who are experts in their talent areas.

05.09 Who are your main potential competitors and what makes you stand out from them?

1.The biggest competition that will be faced in implementing the project is the presence of various shows and testimonials,(especially on the radio) that catch people's ears and attention. To stand out from our potential competitors,We will promote our contents on platforms that involve more people,(such as social networks and digital fabrications) and ensure that the contents are more productive. 2.There are platforms that have already been established in Tanzania to identify talents and provide grants to winners.To stand out from this,the project will enter into a joint venture partnership and link trained participants to these platforms. Moreover, THE BEST YOU will provide micro-grants to the talented youths for them to develop,nurture their talents and build an entrepreneurial spirit.

10.06 Are you initiating actions within your community to promote the role of female entrepreneurs?

I initiate actions to promote the role of female entrepreneurs within my community by monitoring discussions to inspire women's economic stability,encouraging them to get rid of the patriarchal system that brings a state of dependency for many of them. Many of these discussions are conducted through WhatsApp groups,online meetings and occassionaly face to face.
