Describe your project or startup in a few words
Energy efficienty plastic to fuel mainly deal with conversion of waste plastics to fuels such as diesel and gasoline from simple process. This plastic are simply converted to fuel by the action of heat.
01.01 Describe your project in more detail
Energy effecient plastic recycling to fuel project aims to convert discarded plastics into usable fuel by heating the plastics under high temperature in absence of oxygen causing them to breakdown into gases, oils and waxes. These byproducts can then be refined into fuels such as diesel and gasoline. This process does not only reduce plastic waste but also creates a valuable energy source from materials that could otherwise cobtribute to environmental pollution. It represents a sustainable solution towards both waste management and energy production
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
1.To cope with the increased demand and high cost of fuels by producing commercially viable fuel from waste plastics 2. Unemployment As the project requires alot of labour throughout its processing from the collection of plastics to production step both the skilled and unskilled labourers are needed 3. Environmental pollutions ( air pollution due to burning of plastics, water pollution and land degradation) 4. Fluctuation of oil prices as a result of exchange rate fluctuations
01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).
1.To reduce energy expenses and enhance the economic viability of various industrial processes 2.The fuels obtained can be used for various purposes, including heating, electricity generation, and even transportation fuel in some cases.
01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?
1. Transportation sectors ( due to fuel production) 2. Youth empowerment( by providing employment) 3. Municipal waste collectors 4. Industrial sectors ( where fuel can be used for heating purposes)

02.05.02 Gender equality - Justification
1 .The plastics recycling process is well suited to flexible working and can provide opportunities for everybody, not only women and girls, to balance work and family commitments and still contribute to the industry. 2. As the waste plastic recycling processes assist in achieving good health and well-being will improve family planning and sexual and reproductive health to allow integration of women and girls into the workforce and assist in achieving this goal.
02.06.01 My project contributes to the Clean water and sanitation goal
5
02.06.02 Clean water and sanitation - Justification
By converting waste plastics into fuel, less plastic ends up in landfills or oceans. This reduces the risk of plastic pollution contaminating water sources and ecosystems.
02.07.01 My project contributes to the Affordable and clean energy goal
6
02.07.02 Affordable and clean energy - Justification
Recycling plastic into fuel provides an alternative energy source that can be cleaner and more sustainable than traditional fossil fuels, contributing to global efforts to expand access to clean energy.
02.08.01 My project contributes to the Decent work and economic growth
6
02.08.02 Decent work and economic growth - Justification
Recycling industries, including those focused on converting plastic waste into fuel, can create employment opportunities and stimulate economic growth.
02.09.01 My project contributes to the Industry innovation and infrastructure
7 - Strongly Agree
02.09.02 Industry innovation and infrastructure - Justification
Developing technologies and infrastructure for waste plastic recycling to fuel represents innovation in sustainable waste management practices, supporting industrial growth.
02.10.01 My project contributes to the Reduced inequalities goal
5
02.10.02 Reduced inequalities - Justification
1. Recycling plastic into fuel can create new economic opportunities in regions that might otherwise lack access to traditional industries or resources. This can lead to job creation and income generation, particularly in economically disadvantaged areas. 2.Converting waste plastic into fuel can provide a local source of energy, reducing dependency on imported fuels. This enhances energy security and affordability, benefiting communities that may face energy poverty or high energy costs.
02.11.01 My project contributes to the Sustainable cities and communities goal
6
02.11.02 Sustainable cities and communities - Justification
1. Recycling plastic into fuel provides an alternative energy source, contributing to affordable and clean energy . This can be particularly beneficial in urban settings where energy demand is high and diversified sources are needed. 2. It helps manage waste effectively by reducing the amount of plastic going to landfills or ending up in oceans, thereby mitigating environmental pollution and its negative impacts on urban areas.
