Min gas filling station project is purposely intended to start a small Cooking gas filling station that can help people in local communities especially in rural areas to start using gas and stop using woods and charcoal for cooking to protect environment

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

The Min gas filling station is aimed to help rural areas to protect the environment by using gas as the source of energy in cooking. LPG in Tanzania mostly used in urban areas and town centers but in rural areas there's still use of woods and charcoal that destroy our environment. The start of min gas filling station will help to reduce the use of charcoal and woods as the gas will be available at many areas and affordable price, this is due to that most of the rural areas still have not to Access in gas some can start using gas but when the gas is finished they don't have another chance to get another one due to the remote location, so the Start of the project will help people to have access the gas at all the time without a chance to retain to their normal source of wood and charcoal. This will also helps by reducing the time of women in finding firewoods rather they will participate in other productive activities for their families.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

The main problem is desertification prevention and climatic change control. Most of rural areas use woods in cooking and some urban areas still use charcoal in cooking so as the time goes and population growth high rate of desertification due to high demand of the wood as energy source the introduction of these gas filling station will give a chance to have gas at All time and affordable price rather than that of retailing which is at high price and is very limited in rural areas. Also introduction of the min gas station will provide some jobs to the local people, also time management to the women's that allow them to participate in different activities rather than focusing on wood collection in long Time.

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).

The first one is environmental conservation, gas using is environmental source of energy it's effects is very minimal, also reduced number of wood cutting helps to protect our environment Secondly using gas rather than woods is time serving and healthy benefit, that gas can be used in all season of the year without any problems compared to woods during rain season is very hard to collect and firing them, in health benefits gas does not produce harmful emissions that affects the people's health Thirdly the gas filling station will provide the jobs to the local communities as different people will be involved in the chain from filling station to the transportation to their homes

01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

The projects aimed for rural people who still using woods and urban people with low income who still use charcoal as their main source of energy in cooking. The affordable price and gas reliability will highly help them to move out from using woods to the use of the gas that is environmental friendly and healthily important.

The product will improve the existing products as the increase in the number of people using it, it's availability and affordability in terms of the price, also the product will be in highly demand due to an increase in the number of the user and it's pricetag

The main potential competitors are the gas suppliers, and something that will make me to stand out of them is about the availability of the service all the time and the pricetag. Due to availability in remote area where high Humber of the supplier still have not been able to reach them I can standout the project as a result of reaching the lower rank communities and convince them on using the product

Yes, the women entrepreneurs especially those owns small hotels always use charcoal in cooking so the use of the gas will enhance in fastening the process and protect health and environment.
