Describe your project or startup in a few words
My project, MbogaToday, aims to empower small entrepreneurs, with a special focus on women, to achieve their dreams by providing support, resources, and opportunities for growth and success.
01.01 Describe your project in more detail
Mbogatoday envisions helping people achieve their dreams by providing critical support and resources, particularly to women entrepreneurs. Through our research, we identified a significant potential to assist individuals passionate about their businesses but lacking the necessary resources to thrive. For instance, we observed that many "mama ntilie" (local food vendors) are highly dedicated to their work. Our goal is to empower them by supplying essential resources, such as groceries for their restaurants. This support allows them to operate their businesses without the initial financial burden. At the end of each business day, they return the value of the groceries they received, creating a sustainable cycle of support and growth. By doing so, Mbogatoday aims to foster entrepreneurial success and contribute to the economic empowerment of these women.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
The main problem MbogaToday is trying to solve is poverty. By focusing on elevating young entrepreneurs, especially women, we aim to provide them with the resources and support needed to grow their businesses, achieve financial independence, and contribute to their communities' economic development.
01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).
Empowering Independence: Mbogatoday helps individuals become financially independent by providing the necessary resources and support to grow their businesses. Poverty Alleviation: By empowering entrepreneurs, particularly women, MbogaToday contributes to reducing poverty and improving the economic well-being of communities. Accelerated Development: MbogaToday enables entrepreneurs to develop their businesses rapidly and stay competitive in a globalized market, fostering economic growth and innovation.
01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?
Our project, MbogaToday, is aimed at serving women aged 18-40. While we ultimately want to support both genders, our initial focus is on women due to resource limitations. We believe that women have a unique ability to recognize and value opportunities effectively. For instance, in basketball, if a woman misses a three-point shot once, she typically won't repeat the mistake, whereas a man might persist until he succeeds. In our first phase, we want to work with individuals who can fully appreciate and utilize the value of this project, ensuring a strong foundation for growth and success.

05.08 Justification
Mbogatoday's approach of providing essential groceries to women entrepreneurs, particularly in the food industry, with a payback model is tailored to support individuals who may not have access to traditional financing or resources. While similar initiatives may exist, our focus on empowering specific demographic groups in this manner may differentiate us significantly in the market. Mbogatoday improves upon existing support models for entrepreneurs by combining resource provision with a sustainable payback system. This approach not only supports economic empowerment but also encourages responsible financial behavior among recipients, distinguishing it from traditional charity or loan programs. MbogaToday model innovatively adapts the concept of micro-financing and support systems for entrepreneurs by integrating direct resource provision with a structured repayment method. This innovative blend addresses both immediate resource needs and financial responsibility,
