This project Solar RET Refrigeration provides refrigeration and DC lightning to both rural and urban area with the help of solar energy which is a renewable energy technology. This project brings thermoelectric effect and photovoltaic effects together.

01.01 Describe your project in more detail

This project is using thermoelectric effect to produce cooling needed in refrigeration while using a renewable energy sources which is Solar. Very small volumes of refrigerators can be made out of this technology to be used even in cars and bikes. By using solar PV modules to generate electricity and Peltier modules for the cooling we can with the assembly of the necessary accessories produce cooling and electricity for lighting and supply on low energy appliances.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

We are solving principally the problem of climate change caused by global warming and then facilitating the acquisition of refrigerators and electricity for low energy appliances like phones for rural area with no electricity or low income earners. It is also useful in mobile application like cars and for drug storage.

01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).

Our environment will be protected by the use of clean technology; low income earners can have the small fridges even in the rural areas without electricity and they could have access to electricity to power the most necessary appliances for basic needs. Vehicles owners and veterinary will also benefits for Refrigeration . The refrigerator is portable; is a kit, therefore easy to installed. And to conclude it is a Pay As you Go package easy to acquire by low income earners.

Much food is being lost because of lack of preservation methods. Therefore refrigerating this food produce from our farms can stop poverty which came as a result of food spoilage. Also when there is electricity, there's communication , education enhancement, therefore eliminating poverty.
