GREEN BOOSTER: Building Soil.
Describe your project or startup in a few words
Unlocking the potential of sustainable agriculture, our biofertilizers offers a transformative solution. By enhancing soil health and reducing dependence on synthetic fertilizers, we enable farmers to achieve more with less.
01.01 Describe your project in more detail
Green Booster is dedicated to revolutionizing agriculture in Cameroon specifically in the grass fields and peasant communities. Our goal is to produce and distribute 100 thousand liters of affordable and accessible bio-fertilizer, catering to the specific needs of local farmers. By providing a low-cost alternative to synthetic fertilizers, we empower farmers to enhance their crop yields while promoting soil health and environmental sustainability. Our comprehensive approach encompasses production, distribution, training, and application of bio-fertilizer, ensuring that farmers receive the necessary support for successful implementation. Through our initiative, we aim to address the challenges of limited access to expensive synthetic fertilizers, boost food security, and contribute to the overall well-being of our communities. Join us on this journey towards a greener and more sustainable future, where agriculture thrives and farmers prosper.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
GreenBooster's bio-fertilizer addresses a range of pressing issues in the grass field regions. By combating the adverse effects of climate change and environmental degradation, our solution tackles the problem of low crop yields that have plagued local farmers for years. We provide an alternative to synthetic fertilizers, which not only pose health risks and contaminate water sources but also contribute to reduced plant nutrition and soil degradation. Our bio-fertilizer promotes soil health, harnesses existing nutrients in the soil and atmosphere, and enhances farm yields in an environmentally friendly and sustainable manner. By increasing farm yield, our solution indirectly increases the adaptive and resilient capacities of farmers to climate change. Therefore our solution enables SDG 2 (Zero hunger)
01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).
The eco-friendly nature of bio-fertilizers is one of the main advantages of using our product. Our product is composed of living microorganisms. These microbes work in collaboration with natural soil ecosystem thus enriching it and promoting healthy plant growth. This ensures that not only the environment is safe but also ensures long term fertility for soils. Thereby enhancing solutions to the problem of environmental degradation. Our bio-fertilizer significantly helps in increasing crop yields . Thereby enhancing nutrient uptake by plants through introducing beneficial bacteria and fungi into the soil. In the long run, the effective use of our bio-fertilizer will improve resilience and adaptive capacities of the local farmers to climate change by equipping them with the knowledge on environmentally friendly practices.
01.04 Please describe who exactly your project is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?
GreenBooster is enhancing bio-fertilizer formulas for farmers in Cameroon's Northwest and Adamawa regions, aiming for market expansion, customer growth, and increased production. The economy of these regions is dominated essentially by agriculture and livestock. Donga- Mantung Division in the Northwest region occupies second place in livestock production after Mayo-Banyo in Adamawa and is estimated to produce over ninety thousand castle yearly. Livestock production in Donga-Mantung is said to be on the decline because of rangeland degradation and lack of knowledge of modern grazing and farming methods, In recent years, Donga-Mantung has seen variations in its climatic parameter of rainfall. We're intend to be partnering with cooperatives, engaging in trade shows, and using digital marketing for customer acquisition. Our goal is to lead in bio-fertilizers, boosting agricultural productivity and sustainability in Cameroon.

02.01.02 No poverty - Justification
By providing smallholder farmers in Cameroon with biological fertilizers customized for their soil conditions and crops, GreenBooster aims to help increase agricultural productivity and empower communities. Our tailored solutions optimize nutrient availability and soil health to boost crop yields per hectare, even in challenging climates and environments.
02.02.01 My project contributes to the Zero hunger goal
7 - Strongly Agree
02.02.02 Zero hunger - Justification
GreenBooster seeks to increase crop yields, improve soil fertility and reduce reliance on synthetic fertilizers. 1. These directly improves the output from farms thereby directly contributing to address hunger by ensuring greater production. 2. Bio-fertilizers don’t cause any harm to the soil . They instead promote soil health in the long run . This sustainable approach helps combat land degradation, a major threat to food security. 3. Bio-fertilizer will empower local farmers in Cameroon increase food production without involving in debts to buy synthetic materials. This will increase yield as they won’t have to sell crops later to pay for fertilizer debts. This indirectly addresses hunger problems.
02.03.01 My project contributes to the Good health and well-being goal
5
02.03.02 Good health and well-being - Justification
The continues use of GreenBooster can minimize health risks associated with chemical residues in food. Bio-fertilizers decompose naturally, leaving behind no harmful residues. Furthermore , Greenhouse is a means to encourage a more holistic approach to agriculture, reducing reliance on potentially harmful chemicals. The continues use will foster a healthier ecosystems and promotes biodiversity, both of which can benefit human health in the long run.

GreenBooster offers a more sustainable alternative to synthetic fertilizers thereby reducing reliance on harmful chemicals. Furthermore, our products are made with organic materials and natural processes which contributes to the consumption of healthy foods.
02.13.01 My project contributes to the Climate action goal
7 - Strongly Agree
02.13.02 Climate action - Justification
Our project is environmentally sustainable thereby contributing very little or nothing to greenhouse gas emissions. This is because every step is organically processed. Due to the fact that our products are organically processed, there is a greater capacity store carbon dioxide. Bio-fertilizers encourages the growth of microbes that break down organic matter and convert it to soil organic carbon. This process helps mitigate climate change by sequestering atmospheric carbon in the soil. Moreover, organic fertilizers enhances soil moisture retention, which is crucial in the face of extreme weather events like droughts. Additionally, healthier soils are better equipped to handle heavy rainfall and resist erosion.

02.16.01 My project contributes to the Peace justice and strong institutions goal
5
02.16.02 Peace justice and strong institutions - Justification
One of the main objects of this project is to empower small scale farmers in Cameroon especially Northwest and Adamawa regions by increase their food security and economic independence. This contributes to social stability and reduce conflict over resources. The project area over the years produces over 90.000 cattle yearly but this is facing drastic declines in the last 10 years due to droughts. This has let to not just the loss of cattle but human lives as a results of farmer grazer conflicts. With continues use of bio-fertilizer, farmers and grazers can coexist because they will be needing each other. Farmer needs cow waste for fertilizer production while craze’s need food supplied by farmers.
