AgriTontine not only facilitates access to capital for local entrepreneurs but also promotes community involvement in economic development. The main problem AgriTontine aims to solve is the lack of accessible and affordable financing for agricultural, livestock, and real estate projects in Cameroon. Many local entrepreneurs and small-scale farmers face significant challenges in securing funds through traditional banking systems due to stringent requirements, high-interest rates, and limited financial literacy. This financial barrier hampers the growth and development of viable projects, stifling economic progress in rural and urban areas. Additionally, there is a lack of platforms that promote community-based investments and transparent fund management. Investors often struggle to find secure and profitable opportunities that also contribute to local development. AgriTontine addresses these issues by providing a digital platform that connects project creators with a pool of community investors, facilitating transparent and secure investments. This approach democratizes access to capital, supports local entrepreneurship.
