01.01 Describe your project in more detail
"Green Peanut Ventures " addresses sustainable farming practices like organic cultivation to increase food production systems while preserving natural resources by doubling agricultural productivity, sustainable food production systems, maintaining genetic diversity of seeds and promoting income of small- scale farmers . We seek to empower local communities to lift themselves out of poverty and increase living standards by improving nutrition that diversified gastronomy contributing to ending malnutrition, reducing depressions and sicknesses especially among children and vulnerable populations and areas. By enhancing good security and resilience in the adversity of climate change we create a ripple effect of positive behavioral change and change in general, transforming Cameroon's agricultural landscape paving a way for a future where no one goes hungry and promoting economic development and social stability.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
In Cameron, approximately 24% of the population faces food insecurity, "imagine a world with limited food supply " - Terrible right? Green Peanut Ventures aims to address the unsustainable peanut farming practices that compromise food security, soil health, and peanut quality. Traditional methods often use chemical fertilizers and pesticides, leading to soil degradation, reduced fertility, and loss of biodiversity. These practices harm the environment and affect peanut quality and taste, reducing consumer appeal. By promoting soil health through natural pest management, crop rotation, and organic fertilizers, we restore soil vitality and enhance biodiversity. This ensures long-term sustainability, contributing to food security and environmental conservation. Focusing on high-quality peanut taste, production, and distribution, we meet consumer demand for healthier, more flavorful peanuts to create a scalable model that benefits both the environment and agricultural communities.
01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your project intends to provide (at least 3).
Environmental sustainability through organic farming practices, reduce reliance on synthetic pesticides and fertilizers which minimizes harm on environment, preserving soil health and promoting biodiversity by reducing chemical contamination, droughts,water scarcity, water run-off, carbon sequestration in soil , increase water conservation by improving soil structure, mitigate climate change by reducing greenhouse gases emissions and enhancing soil carbon storage. Food security by ensuring stable yields and reducing dependence on external inputs. Heath benefits as these peanuts will be organic, free from synthetic chemicals leading to better public health outcomes and increases quality life by diet rich in natural nutrients. Economic development as it creates job opportunities for local communities like farmers, Laborers, support staff leading to poverty alleviation and empowerment as it tends to be more accessible due to lower inputs costs and less reliance on expensive external input

"Green Peanut Ventures" targeted beneficiaries encompasses of various sectors and all demographics globally; Health conscious consumers seeking natural chemical free snacks and ingredients form a substantial segment. Specialty food sellers like local provision and food stores , "buyam-sellam", and local markets. Food service industry like catering companies restaurants for menus such as stir-fries, deserts, sauce. Export market. Nutritional and dietary supplement companies. Farmer's markets and community supported agriculture programs that provide direct -to-consumer sale opportunities for organic products.
