FADZAR enterprise is a agro allied project which majors in poultry rearing and indigenous tree seedling

01.01 Describe your startup in more detail

The business idea came up after having tough times since the corona pandemic 2020 and it's aftermath. I was laid off indefinitely by my employer and had nothing to rely on. Having had worked in hotels, I knew chicken & chicken products are highly consumed and the market is unsaturated. I therefore begun my poultry farm, specializing on egg production. Later I so another niche, the chicken dung was accumulating fast and disposing it was another challenge. I then decided to begin a tree nursery and vegetable nurserywhere I use organic manure. With this I have created employment for 3 other youths to assist in my project. Target market are local hotels and households.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

Unemployment has been an enigma among the youth. My aim is to have a "one head 5 chicken" project, where I will give local community chicken according to the number of people in the family. They are then entitled to take care of them and sell the eggs so as to have a sustainable life. Besides the poverty challenge, I'm also focussing on having tree planting plan, each head 3 trees so as to help in reduction of carbon toxic levels in the atmosphere.

Having this project materialize, I'll will enable the local community depend on themselves and earn income from the sales made. The manure obtained shall be used in tree planting and also in vegetable production organically.

01.04 Please describe who exactly your startup’s product/service is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

The project is targeting the hotel industry, to supply them with chicken and chicken products. The immediate locals who'll benefit from the 1head 5 chicken project, releaving them from abject poverty. The community will also benefit from carbon credit from the trees planted as well as making a carbon free environment

06.09 Competitive Analysis

Main competitors are the big chicken rearing companies which are capable of doing a large scale production. Though mine is a medium a scale production, infusing it with the community will expand it exponentially and shall employ many people despite their age. It's an open project where any beneficiary is free to expand their project. The project also outsmarts my competitors as it helps people in self employment culture where one will not always rely on salaries, wages or mercies of some rowdy employees. The project can be customized enabling one to work at their convenience
