01.01 Describe your startup in more detail
Our startup tackles challenges in Kenya's CBC curriculum by offering a comprehensive online platform with high-quality, CBC-aligned resources. Educators can easily search and filter by subject, grade, and resource type, with detailed previews helping them make informed choices. This empowers educators, improves student learning, promotes equity in education, and saves teachers valuable time. It positions itself as a valuable tool for Kenyan educators, fostering a more effective and engaging learning environment for students within the CBC framework.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
Educators in Kenya face challenges finding high-quality, relevant resources that effectively support the CBC curriculum. Existing solutions often lack focus on CBC alignment, have limited search functions, or require purchasing individual resources, leading to time-consuming searches and potentially higher costs. My startup solves this by creating a centralized online platform offering a curated selection of CBC-aligned resources. Educators can easily search and filter by specific needs, preview resources before downloading, and benefit from a cost-effective subscription model. This addresses the core problem of inefficient resource discovery and empowers educators to focus on delivering effective CBC-based learning experiences.
01.03 Tell us the major benefits and/or advantages of using the product/service that your startup provides (at least 3).
Our CBC Resource Platform empowers educators and benefits schools in Kenya. Educators save time with our user-friendly search and filtering, finding high-quality, CBC-aligned resources that directly improve student learning. Affordable monthly subscriptions provide access to a vast library, potentially more cost-effective than individual purchases. Finally, the platform caters to diverse learning styles and offers anywhere access, promoting equity and accessibility compared to traditional methods. These advantages make our platform a valuable tool, streamlining resource discovery, improving lesson planning, and ultimately fostering a more effective and equitable CBC learning environment.
01.04 Please describe who exactly your startup’s product/service is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?
Our startup's CBC Resource Platform directly targets school administrators in Kenya. They play a crucial role in selecting resources that support educators in implementing the CBC curriculum effectively. However, the ultimate beneficiaries are both educators and students. Educators gain a valuable tool that saves them time searching for relevant materials and empowers them to choose resources that best suit their students' needs. This leads to improved lesson planning and ultimately benefits students by providing them with high-quality, engaging learning experiences that align with the CBC curriculum. By focusing on school administrators, we ensure the platform reaches a wide range of educators and ultimately impacts a significant number of students across Kenya's education system.

06.09 Competitive Analysis
Direct Competitors Educational Supply Stores: Physical and online stores that sell a variety of educational materials, including some CBC resources. Local Marketplace Sellers: Individuals or small businesses offering locally sourced CBC materials through online platforms or informal markets. Indirect Competitors General E-commerce Platforms: Large websites like Jumia or Amazon that may carry some educational materials, including a small selection of CBC resources. School-Organized Resource Drives: Some schools may directly collaborate with local producers or organize internal efforts to source CBC resources. Our platform stands out as a one-stop shop for Kenyan educators, offering a curated selection of CBC-aligned digital resources alongside essential classroom supplies. While other options exist, like educational supply stores or online marketplaces, none offer the Combined Value Proposition of our platform, Focus on Quality & CBC Alignment or Local Content Curation.
