Rongena poultry farm is a project mainly dealing with production of eggs, hatching and brooding of chicks, raising of cocks for slaughtering.

Rongena poultry farm is a project located in Kenya, bomet county, sotik sub-county, Rongena/manaret ward. The aim of this project is to produce eggs for consumption, hatching and brooding of chicks which are to be sold at different ages and raising of cocks for slaughtering.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

1. Creation of employment, the project aims at employing 10 people for effective running of farm activities. 2. Availing quality and affordable poultry products. I.e eggs, chicks and meat.

1. Natural the eggs we produce are mainly out of feeding our poultry with vegetables and grains. 2. Affordable, our eggs, chicks and meat will be of good price that everyone will afford to buy. 3.

01.04 Please describe who exactly your startup’s product/service is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

1. Local community. Most of the locals are interested in rearing chickens and they only luck a reputable source of chicks. 2. Institutions eg schools, hospitals and hotels. 3. Nearby markets this is an open place whereby everyone can buy what he or she wants at affordable price.

The project is located at a place nearby five schools in this case we will be able to allow the learners to get the practical lessons and first hand information on poultry rearing activities. At the same time we will be able to teach the locals on the importance and how the chickens are reared.
