Kojah Integrated Eco Farm: Promoting sustainable agriculture through innovative agricultural practices. We empower local communities with training and resources, enhance food security, and support environmental conservation.
01.01 Describe your startup in more detail
Kojah Integrated Eco Farm is a pioneering venture that combines livestock and crop farming to promote sustainable agriculture. We use organic manure from our farm animals as natural fertilizer for our crops, enhancing soil fertility and reducing chemical inputs. Additionally, we convert organic waste into biogas, providing renewable energy for our farm operations. Our integrated approach boosts productivity and supports environmental conservation by minimizing waste and promoting efficient resource use. As an Agricultural Field Schools, we provide training and mentorship to empower local entrepreneurs with sustainable farming practices. Our fresh organic produce is sold to local mama mbogas, hotels, schools, and direct consumers, ensuring access to healthy, high-quality food. Through these efforts, we contribute to food security, economic growth, and environmental sustainability in our community.

Traditional farming methods degrade soil health and harm the environment due to reliance on chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Local farmers and entrepreneurs also lack access to knowledge, resources, and markets to adopt sustainable practices and achieve economic stability. We solve these issues by promoting sustainable farming techniques, using organic manure and biogas production to improve soil health and reduce chemical use. Through our Agricultural Field Schools, we provide training and mentorship, empowering local farmers and entrepreneurs. By selling fresh organic produce to local vendors, hotels, schools, and consumers, we enhance food security and create economic opportunities. Our approach fosters a resilient agricultural ecosystem, benefiting the environment, economy, and community health.
