Console gaming has taken shape in the recent years in Kenya. Making it mobile, as in fitting the equipments in a van so that you can move from place to place is a good business idea.

01.01 Describe your startup in more detail

Rui Entertainment is a startup business I started back in December 2022 where I offer gaming services to the youth via Play Station. I also sell movies and series. With the console, the clients pay in order to play the games of their choice. They can either pay per hour or per game depending with the game structure or mode of play.It is NOT a gambling entity as it is just for leisure.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

My business is trying to solve the problem of idling with the youth. When the youth are idle, they tend to engage in immoral activities for example drug and alcohol abuse, theft e.t.c. My business make them occupied and use their free time in playing video games.

The youth get occupied in using their free time well by engaging in playing video games or buying movies and series from my business. It is a form of leisure activities.

01.04 Please describe who exactly your startup’s product/service is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

My main target beneficiaries are the youth. The youth and technology are one entity. Most youths in the society tend to embrace technology and my business cater that for them.
