We are building a web application called Climate Guard which will provide predictive analytics and AI based recommendations for mitigating heat waves and cold waves in Africa.

Climate Guard is an innovative web application prototype designed to tackle the pressing challenges of heatwaves and coldwaves in Africa. Leveraging cutting-edge predictive analytics and AI technologies, Climate Guard utilizes existing meteorological data to accurately forecast extreme weather events.Through intuitive user interface, users can access actionable insights and personalized recommendations to mitigate the impacts of climate change.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

As Africa grapples with the escalating impact of climate change, communities across Africa are feeling the escalating impacts of Heatwaves and Coldwaves posing risks to human health, livestock, agriculture and infrastructure, the urgency for innovative solutions has never been clearer. Extreme weather events from scorching heatwaves to chilling cold waves are exacting a toll on communities across the continent, necessitating bold and proactive measures.

Climate Guard empowers users with real-time information and tailored strategies to safeguard communities, infrastructure, and livelihoods against the adverse effects of heatwaves and coldwaves. Climate Guard represents a pioneering solution in the fight against climate change, providing a glimpse into the future of proactive and data-driven environmental management.

01.04 Please describe who exactly your startup’s product/service is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

Health services, during this extremes medical practitioners will benefit with timely information before the occurrence of these extreme events. Farmers on the other hand would be able to know the type of crops to grow during heat and colwaves. Academic research:there will research materials on our web application for scientific researchers and academic institutions. General public,we will be offering freemium services for the general public to get informed on time.
