We are empowering local communities by providing a secure and convenient platform for buying and selling pre-loved items, promoting sustainability, and fostering connections between neighbors.

Our platforms allow anyone to sell what they no longer need, and find what they love at very affordable prices. The second-hand goods market is rapidly growing, driven by increased consumer interest in sustainability and affordability. Online marketplaces like amazon.com and jumia.co.ke have gained traction, but often lack a hyper-local focus. Backyard Vendor will fill this gap by catering specifically to neighborhood-based buying and selling.

One of the heartwarming stories is from a young man who used Backyard Vendor to sell clay construction bricks to pay for his school fees from a very interior community. Backyard Vendor gave him exposure to the market.
