At Kibangabooks we say, Reading Kenyan and African stories starts here! We source books from unknown, young independent authors or writers and create publicity on their content by providing reviews and online adverts for their published books. We bring together local authors through our website funnel as vendors and optimize their books for visibility on online platforms for review and purchase. We primarily promote a reading culture in Kenya and Africa at large by encouraging local authors to tell our heritage stories as they are. We deliver our book orders directly to the doorstep of our clients thereby providing easy fast and reliable access of purchases.

Kenya’s reading culture is quite low, and local self published authors don’t have a platform to put out their work to the world and showcase their products. Young people in kenya and Africa lack in terms of access to reading materials and affordability.

Kenyan Writers and self published authors have been ignored, and with a dinimishing reading culture they have been completely forgotten unless you are a really bestseller author. We want to bring these small and self published authors together and provide a platform for all of them to meet and share their knowledge and cultures in books.

Our main competitors are Textbook Centre. We interact with each and every self published author and accommodate them easily to start selling and earning with us and creating a platform to showcase their literary works.

11.05 Are you initiating actions within your community to promote the role of female entrepreneurs?

Yes. 100%. Most of our Self published authors are female. By encouraging them to write more books we make them self reliant and entrepreneurs. Our bestselling author right now is Joan Thatiah who we sell like 150 books a months for. Female writers and authors are more than 50% of our kenyan vendors.
