I would like to start up a processing company for roots and tubers puree, It can be incorporated to maize flour as its rich in vitaminA and high in fibre also other use. We will also process the peels to be used as organic fertilizer and feeds for animal,

01.01 Describe your startup in more detail

The company will be engaging different farmers who can supply us with sweet potatoes, yams and cassava, this will help the farmers farm in confidence without fear of getting market for their produce. Crops like cassava, and yams are drought resistance and can grow to any part of the country thus accommodating every farmer including in the semi arid areas. we will encourage more farmers to join into roots and tubers farming by buying their produce at the best market rate and depending on quality and grade. We will also process the peels and they are high nutritious value to both humans and animals. We will also use the peels to make organic fertilizer. Everything Gojir organic will be processing will be organic and focus on value addition, our puree will be incorporated with maize flour to enhance color & sweeten the end product. since cassava can be grown everywhere once we process it, it will be affordable more nutritious to everyone even those who can't afford maize flour,

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

I would like people to go back to nutritious food since the common staple food prices like maize flour has gone up for most people to even afford it. The country still import maize and it shouldn't be the case but maize is been affected by alot of things including drought causing the prices to go way to high for most people to even afford. I would like people to go back to their roots and remove their reliance on just maize and try our more nutritious cassava flour, and sweet potatoes puree. Adopting the new healthy eating of yam, cassava flour and sweet potatoes puree will boost our immunity and reduce risk of getting diseases like cancer, nutritional anemias, coronary heart disease, stroke, high BP, type 2 diabetes etc. Using our dried peel as fertilizer will improve soil fertility among other benefits. Our dried peels will reduce cost of animal feeds and increase production, not forgetting its also nutritious to humans so there is no waste.

Benefits of cassava/yam flour and sweet potatoes puree -highly nutritious -farming of cassava and yams can grow to most place and are drought resistance -farming of cassava and yams do require must farming input -sweet potatoes are a three months crop thus production is all year round -our sweet potatoes puree and cassava/yam flour are purely organic. -there is no waste whole product we use all from peels, flour to puree. - availability of the raw materials, the fact the crops are readily available in most part of the country make it the best. -strengthen immunity and prevent risk of various diseases including some types of cancer among others. - it will help farmers earn good money in a short time since the crops are between 3 and 6 months.

low income earners to have a well balance meal and increase income in there house households. It will help farmers in most of areas even those in semi arid areas. it will be means to end poverty and fight hunger, malnutrition. it will also improve and boost immunity and improve resilience to many diseases. Since our product will be affordable the will reduce the cost strain of basic commodities like food, most people will have a substitute from the common maize flour to more nutritious cassava flour or puree.

I am a result driven , hardworking person whose solo purpose is to promote healthy eating. i tender to ensure family do not go hungry and can access basic thing like food without to much struggle. I also intend to reduce death brought by unhealthy eating causing disease that drains family and it could have been avoided by improving the immunity by eating healthy.

Since our company is a value additional company it will help from the farmer of these crops to the end uses, we will buy the produce at competitive price depending on grade and quality, thus increasing income to farmers. The end product eg cassava/yam flour will be cheap compared to the maize flour so every house can afford it. There is no waste in our product from the raw material to the final products.
