01.01 Describe your startup in more detail
In my project Carbon Capture Improved Technology (CCIT) involves the capture of carbon dioxide from large point sources like power generation and industrial facilities that majorly uses fossil fuels or biomass to power them. The carbon dioxide from the Industries is captured and sequestrated. Since it's captured it reduces emissions. The captured carbon dioxide gas is then compressed so it becomes liquid like and transported to storage site, generally through a pipeline which is cheaper. Once at the storage site, the CO2 is pumped more than 2,500 ft down Wells into geological formations like oil reserves to recover more oil as well as formation that contain unusable salty water. This in turns registers profits to Industries and the same time impacts the environment positively. As a result the carbon that was to be emitted is stored and sequestrated thus promote a net zero economy and Society.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
I am trying to solve Global Warming which has been affecting our country. Industries pollute the environment when they emit Carbon (IV) Oxide to the atmosphere which in turn tends to weaken the ozone layer. This days for example we experienced heavy rains in April. Weather has been unpredictable since global warming is increasingly increasing. In addition some parts of the country experience intense radiation from the sun and thus leads to high temperatures during the day. This is proof that the ozone layer is becoming weaker and can't prevent all the rays from the sun thus some intense rays tend to find themselves reaching the environment. It is indeed a great risk since Ultraviolet rays which are more intense destroy living cells and tissues causing cancer. Global warming is indeed a challenge.

Reliable Energy Source:Several oil and gas industries operations are associated with generating large volume of carbon dioxide gas. Carbon dioxide can be utilized and used to provide a cheap source of energy for industry leaders. Impact On Environment:Deployment of carbon sequestration methods significantly improve the environment, society and industry operators. Apart from targeting maximum output from their processes, they also preserve the natural environment. Use of carbon capture technology ensures that carbon - based emissions are kept below recommended levels at all times. As a result preserve the environment. Used In Oil and Gas Industries :Carbon dioxide is pumped more than 2500 feet down wells into geological formations like used up oil reservoirs as well as formations that contain unusable, salty water. Thus stored underground hence not polluting environment. In addition, carbon dioxide is also injected into active oil reservoirs in order to recover more oil.
01.04 Please describe who exactly your startup’s product/service is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?
The targeted beneficiaries are:The society and the industries. The society:my project majors on carbon capture. Since carbon that was to be emitted is captured and stored, there will be reduced emissions and thus reduce intense shock rays which cause global warming hence well being. In addition carbon that is stored can be used in green houses which will in turn increase yields thus food security. The industries:The carbon dioxide capture from industries like cement and coal can be sequestrated and captured. After capturing it can be compressed and shipped or transported by pipeline. This in turn earns the company income since carbon can be used in making useful products. Moreover the carbon that is compressed can be pumped to about 2500ft in oil reservoirs to recover more oil thus companies will incur profits. Similarly capturing and storing of carbon dioxide will have an impact in the reduction of global warming temperature to about 1.5°C as time goes by thus have a favorable climate

The other owner of my startup is a female. She has entrepreneurial experience of three years. In my startup Project she usually helps in editing and doing some of the research. She tries to bring gender equality both at the society and working places. My accomplice has been involving herself in charity work like running marathons to support children in the orphanages and embrace the girl child. On January she and others had a fundraising ceremony in order to fund buying sanitary pads and donate them to the girls in the society who cannot afford them. She has skills in hairdressing and doing manicure. She she uses her free time to research and help in developing projects. She also works under little or no supervision. She also takes time to brainstorm and questionnaire managers and workers of some Industries in our town. She has faced gender discrimination quite some time but she doesn't give up on others confrontations. She's also responsible for the flowcharts in my project.

My startup carbon capture reduces emissions from Industries. Since the temperature is stabilized, the pre-existing trends of rural rural and rural Urban migration decrease. This leads to small scale Civic strife and we'll you put no pressure on urban areas thus no conflicts. As a result there will be increased development. In addition, Industries that will be using carbon capture technology to reduce emissions will benefit both the society and themselves. Since carbon will be captured and sequestrated for storage, pure carbon dioxide will be used in waste water projects thus achieve clean water and sanitation to the society which has been a main cause of poverty. Moreover,divestment carbon intensive activities will create job opportunities that will align with the requirements of a net zero economy and thus reduce poverty in the society since many people will be employed.

06.08 Justification for my startup
My innovation is indeed and improvement of another existing. The other existing version of my innovation are actually based on direct air capture but for my innovation is best on direct capture emissions from Industries. Industries like cement Steel and gas usually used fossil fuels in huge amounts. My project basically is to be used at the Industries to capture the emissions from the same. Industries therefore will not be emitting emissions but rather the carbon dioxide will be sequestrated and pumped to storage sites where it will pass through some processes. At the storage site some of it will be pumped by pipeline to oil Industries where it will be used to recover more oil since it will be pumped to oil reservoirs. My innovation is indeed a new technology since it will be instilled in Industries but rather not outside like other versions of my innovation. This innovation will also add value to the Industries using it since it will earn them income.

My main potential competitors are the companies that are trying to introduce renewable sources of energies instead of eliminating carbon emissions from Industries like steel cement and coal. My startup is more advantageous to the Industries and to the environment. To the Industries after the carbon is captured and sequestrated down to storage tanks it is then compressed and some of it is pumped to oil Industries where it is used to recover more oil since it is pumped to geological formations. In addition my startup reduces the emissions of carbon from the environment. Moreover pure carbon from the plant can be used in the green houses to increase yields under thus food security. Equally carbon can be used in electrolyte as fuel cell and thus can produce electricity. Additionally carbon sequestration can lead to job creations and investments thus reducing economic disparities between regions.

Yes. I do take part in promoting justice for the girl child. I involve the girl child in activities like giving awareness of HPV to men.
