Kijani Asili Global is an organization committed to promoting sustainable waste management practices in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and Agenda 2063 in The Africa We Want. On a mission to create a cleaner and healthier environment.

As Kijani Asili, we understand the impact that every voice has in society and the need for empowering our communities towards sustainable living. We promote proper waste management through: Educational awareness Clean up initiatives Waste collection app for circularity of materials Partnerships and collaborations.

Ensure sustainable management practices are the norm through redesigning the waste management process. This is by having different aspects of the business that involve all stakeholders including individuals, local communities

06.08 Justification for my startup

The app especially presents a concept of by back that most Kenyan supermarkets had adopted manually. The idea however presents an opportunity for it be developed and customized to the nature of the local communities with the local Kenyan household in mind. The organization also presents the Green Futures program for schools ensuring that as most habits are ingrained at the educational levels in our lives, so is proper waste management. We are also trying to change social culture by making environmental topics fun, relatable and a new norm to our homes, classes, meetings, conferences and events

Wasteswift and TakatakaniMali The two have a similar business model however Kijani Asili provides a one stop shop for everything waste management including the buy back system, the schools program, clean up initiatives and access to eco products.
