Our fintech startup, Jumuisha, offers an innovative digital platform providing financial services to underserved African communities through trusted religious networks like Churches, Mosques and others. The Jumuisha Wallet enables seamless digital transactions for religious institutions and congregants. We also offer embedded financial services such as insurance, short-term loans, and savings plans, tailored for congregants through our partners. Additionally, Jumuisha supports religious institutions with tools for donation management, member engagement, and event planning. Leveraging the reach of religious communities, we enhance financial inclusion, foster trust, and empower local economies. Since launching, we’ve partnered with hundreds of institutions, reaching thousands of users and processing substantial transactions, demonstrating scalability and trust. Our mission aligns with Africa’s digital economy, positioning Jumuisha as a catalyst for socioeconomic development.

Jumuisha addresses financial exclusion prevalent in underserved African communities by leveraging the trusted networks of religious institutions which are widely spread across the continent. Our digital platform, our wallet, addresses financial transparency, enabling seamless transactions and offering tailored financial services like insurance and loans to congregants. Unlike traditional banking, we embed these services within the familiar environments of churches and mosques, fostering trust and accessibility. By facilitating donation management and member engagement tools, we empower religious institutions to better serve their communities. With multiple partnerships already established and significant transaction volumes processed, our scalable model demonstrates tangible impact. By working with religious institutions we are able to effectively reach rural and underserved populations, overcoming the barriers of distance and trust. This allows us to take advantage of the strong interest in transparency and economic empowerment these institutions have through the properly structured policies which ensure they are a point of social intervention for those who need access to services. Unlike traditional banking, we embed financial services within the familiar environments of religious institutions, fostering trust and accessibility. By facilitating donation management and member engagement tools, we empower religious institutions to better serve their communities. We offer financial solutions that are specifically made to cater to the needs of underserved communities. We have a significant advantage in efficiently solving difficulties related to financial inclusion because of our ability to customize and adapt our services to the specific needs of many.

Jumuisha targets underserved African communities, focusing on religious networks like Churches, Mosques and others. Our target audience includes Religious institutions and their congregants. We target religious institutions with a strong interest in transparency and economic empowerment having properly structured policies to ensure they are a point of social intervention for those who need access to services. We also target congregants through our digital platforms with high engagement, to deliver embedded financial services on a trust based environment from a network of carefully vettedwh partners, who they otherwise may not have had access to or trust. Our captive market in Kenya is large with an estimated number of more than 500,000 religious institutions and the situation is replicated across Africa, making our solution one that is ready for scale across the continent.
