01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
The main problem GreenCycle aims to solve is the poor waste management in Nairobi, which is evidenced by the overflowing Dandora landfill, the polluted Nairobi River, and the careless disposal of domestic waste along streets and gutters. This inadequate waste management leads to environmental degradation and health hazards. GreenCycle addresses this by educating the community on proper waste segregation and providing a structured system for safe waste disposal. The project progresses through various phases: community sensitization, setting up segregated waste collection points, converting organic waste into cooking gas, and expanding operations and technological solutions across Kenya.

Educating residents on waste segregation to ensure proper waste management in these areas. 3.Schools: Providing educational programs on sustainable practices and waste management.
