Poultry has the smallest carbon footprint of any land dwelling animal used in commercial agriculture. Numerous studies have proven poultry production to be a very good steward of the Earth's natural resources, with a relatively low environmental burden when compared with other livestock. For example a recent article from business insider made the case that chicken produces the fewest green house gas emissions during each phase of production, processing and cooking when compared with other popular types of meat.

06.08 Justification for my startup
My project is unique and innovative in the following ways; I try as much as possible to avoid chemicals while raising my chicks and instead opt for natural means of treatment such as use of Aloe Vera, ginger garlic, pawpaw leaves, pepper. Ensuring production of high quality products which are eggs, chicks and chicken meat. Employing a program that ensures continuous supply of my products to ensure that my customers will always find the products they need. Constructing structures that prevent the chicken from interaction with their droppings hence high hygiene leading to healthy chicken. Using my bicycle, I supply my products to my customers doorstep. Using online platforms to advertise my products. Using internet to learn more skills and knowledge to improve my products. Setting up a brooding structure that has low consumption of electricity.
06.09 Competitive Analysis
My main potential competitors are my fellow farmers who have ventured in poultry farming. What makes me stand out from them is that despite lack of a piece of land to set up my project, I've not given up but have hired a place where I'm running my project, using my bicycle I have been delivering my products to my customers doorstep, instead of using chemicals to boost my chicks growth, I opted for the natural ways of treatment and let them grow naturally without giving them any chemical to boost their growth. Setting up my project in a strategic location where even the comrades can access my products.
11.05 Are you initiating actions within your community to promote the role of female entrepreneurs?
Yes. Encouraging them to venture in poultry farming and giving them support according to my ability.
