The Turn Around Movement (TAM) is a project launched during the launch of the 1st book authored by Sebastian Karani Asava titled, The Turn Around. It aims at using 20% of the proceeds made from the sale of every copy to support education & Community work

01.01 Describe your startup in more detail

The Turn Around Book is one that has been supported by the community through a WhatsApp group to contribute to its publishing and Launching. It is a book that delves into the critical examination of influential youths missteps and the profound impact on society. Discovers insightful strategies to rectify this errors paving the way for a brighter future for both current and forthcoming generations. Through Edit One Kenya, my startup media business & Communications company, I decided to give back to the society at least 20% of the proceeds made from the book sales to support education & Community work i.e providing learning materials to needy students as well other community project's like sports, infrastructural development etc depending on the sales made. A copy sold at Kes 1,000 shillings will contribute a minimum of Kes 200 to the movement for it's projects.

The movement tries to solve the following problems; 1.Youth Missteps and Their Impact: The book critically examines the mistakes made by influential youths and the resulting societal impacts. By highlighting these issues, it seeks to raise awareness and offer strategies to mitigate such errors in the future. 2. Educational Support for Needy Students: By donating 20% of the proceeds from book sales to educational initiatives, the movement aims to provide learning materials and resources to students who lack access. 3. Community Development: The movement supports various community projects, which can include infrastructure improvements, health initiatives, etc. 4. Inspiring Positive Change in Youth. 5. Promoting Literacy and Reading Culture. 6. Creation of employment opportunities through Edit One Kenya for the young people from the remaining percentage to run a full media & business company.

(80 + members) Reffered to as the owner's of the project under the Turn Around Movement WhatsApp group. A project under my startup, Edit One Kenya.
