my horticulture farming project, established two years ago, focuses on cultivating a diverse range of vegetables including skumawiki'', spinach, black night shade and many more. iam aiming at enhancing local food security and econo in the entire community

my horticulture farming project initiated two year ago,cultivates a variety of vegetables such as skumawiki, spinach, black night shade and many more,utilizing sustainable practice like organic farming,drip irrigation and integrated pest control,iam aiming to enhance food security and community nutrition while providing income for my self. the project has achieved 30% increase in productivity and improved soil health.benefiting over fifty local families. The innovative idea of drip irrigation,utilizing used plastic bottles not only addresses environmental concern by repurposing waste but also offer substantial economic benefits and enhance agricultural productivity. it's simplicity,effectiveness and adaptability makes it a compelling choice for horticulture in Africa.By implimenting this innovation,i am aiming to revolutionize small scale horticulture farming practice across Africa,paving way for sustainable and efficient agricultural solution that benefit both farmers and environment.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

the main problem my project address is the dual challenge of food insecurity and economic instability among smallbholder like my self. Despite the fertile land, traditionally farming methods results in low yield and poor quality produce. leading to inadiquate nutrition and limiting income for families. Additionally, unsustainable farming practice have degraded soil health, further diminishing productivity over time. my project aims to solve these issues by producing sustainable horticulture practices which enhance vegetables yield and quality improved soil health and increase farmers income.

my horticulture farming project offers these major benefits;1.economic growth: generate local employment and support to the rural economy 2.food security: increase availability of fresh nutrition produce enhancing community health.

I introduced a cost-effective and eco-friendly approach by utilizing used plastic bottles as the key components of the drip irrigation system.where by used plastic bottles are cleaned and sanitize for reuse. they are cut into specific parts, the top section will act as a funnel and water reservior, while the bottom section act as a drip emmiter.
