01.01 Describe your startup in more detail
At Ruby organics we hand make organic and natural skin care products that help in the management of acne to give back affected clients self esteem and their confidence back we source our herbs from the farm as we create employment to the marginalised women where they do the farming, harvesting and handmaking biodegradable packaging materials.
01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?
More than 90% of worlds population is affected by acne during their life time during puberty it persists in some untill it causes scars(International sociaety of dermatologym 2015) Acne prevalance in Africa is high ranging frrom 0.1-8.9% and western kenya 11.2% 63.5%of acne patients have an increased risk of developing mental illness compared to patients who did not have acne(British journal of dermatology) Myths on drying out acne eg use oftoothpaste, lemon juice and garlic further irritates the skin and makes it worse.

Help our clients to understand their skin types and how to take care of the skin. Raising awareness about current and new acne treatment Treatimg acne is a personal journey and its diffrent for everyone Educate by eg avoid squeezing as this will agrevate and cause scarring that is more expednsive to treat.Eat low glycemic index food toby eliminating sugars in blood.Educate on beauty sleep. Our products are noncomedogenic-not cause black or white heads Our acne products are water based and not oil based
