we're currently serving farmers and end consumer customers, we entered into business with a goal of creating demand driven ecosystem in the poultry value chain.

01.01 Describe your startup in more detail

the idea we are running as a company is simply to stand in the gap for both farmers and consumers, for farmers we ensure seamless delivery of quality chicks and inputs and veterinary support, timely and cost effectively for consumers we ensure constant supply of white meat through just in time ordering system thereby reducing the need for long term refrigeration and storage energy. we are actualizing this through the following methods: having village depots with rider para-vets on service to the farmers. conneting the depots with hatcheries, millers and drug companies through a centralized ordering system and a reliable transport delivery system of our own having a systemized recruiting system that assigns farmers with their vets and depot managers and QC team manager having chain of meat shops in town that receives meat from the society having proper QC and Processing team fully equiped with mobile equpments.

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

the opportunity i find in the poultry supply chain that makes the business more viable are: On one hand, there are push factors including rising unemployment rates and widespread poverty with very small portions of cultivation land, poor harvest in crop cultivation due to climate change and on the other hand, there are pull factors including rising demand for white meat consumption, short cycles of placement and harvest and access better markets

the farmer gets to make assured earnings from their labour which can be forecasted the consumer get to receive fresh meat with short ordering time lapse

the women unemployed, house wives, youths in the rural or suburb, the hotels and fast food joints that dont want to have to procure large batch of products for refrigiration

Consumption of poultry meat, as part of a vegetable-rich diet, is associated with a risk reduction of developing overweight and obesity, cardiovascular diseases, and type 2 diabetes mellitus. Also, white meat (and poultry in particular) is considered moderately protective or neutral on cancer risk. The relevance of poultry meat for humans also has been recognized by the UN Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO), who considers this widely available, relatively inexpensive food to be particularly useful in developing countries, where it can help to meet shortfalls in essential nutrients. Moreover, poultry meat consumption also contributes to the overall quality of the diet in specific ages and conditions (prior to conception, during pregnancy up to the end of breastfeeding, during growth, and in the geriatric age) and is suitable for those who have an increased need for calorie and protein compared to the general population.

number one beneficiaries of our product are the home keepers which are mostly women and girls. we beleive we can tap into social cultural opportunities available and turn it into economic viable activity. our communities beleive poultry keeping is for girls and women and through the same we can empower them to make money.

Poultry production being a fast income generating programme will reduce land degradation by overuse, also the manure produced by the birds contains high nitrogen content which improves the soil.

our product is coutured in a way we take care of of the whole supply chain under a single management creating a society of interdependence, we strongly believe in creating efficiency and solutions hence we keep on sseking better models, machinery, tools, softwares that are innovate in a positive manner.

brokers , meat middle men: our poultry value chain my country is characterized by amorphous set of middle men who take advantage of farmers, our catch is that we distribute chicks and feeds as well also facilitate market for them, we reduce our margins while doing this to ensure the greater margins go to the farmers.

yes, women in my community are mostly home keepers, my goal is to make them have business at the comfort of their home and make a decent living as they take care of children and family. this will give them a true sense of importance and dignity
