Communities with no internet have limited access to education and its materials and also no access to employment opportunities, we intend to help communities have an affordable access to internet and achieve the 2030 sustainable development agenda.

01.01 Describe your startup in more detail

The 2030 sustainable development goals can be achieved earlier than expected if people are given access to the internet, at Medali Networks we think we have a solution of that by providing affordable internet to marginalized communities in Kenya,the counties we want to major in are Kajiado, Machakos and Kakamega and later on expand our interest to counties in Northern, Coastal and Nyanza region

01.02 What is the main problem you are trying to solve?

Lack of access to knowledge is what is making other people not to have access to any information that can be of help in accessing the help they need. We believe that the internet is a sea of knowledge and information, issues like decent work amd economy growth and quality education can be quickly resolved with internet access the remaining 15 SDGs can be resolved with information available online.

Access to correct and accurate information - The internet is a sea of information. Decent work and economic growth - Easier access to search and apply for employment this will greatly help students who come to learn in the city the return to the village after completing thier studies

01.04 Please describe who exactly your startup’s product/service is aimed at serving. Who are the targeted beneficiaries?

My target population is people in marginalized regions who can afford internet but can not access. We also target schools and other institutions so that they can improve the quality of education or services provided to the entire community. We also tend to help research communities amd NGO that go to collect data in those areas but takes them more time to upload them due to poor internet connectivity.

I was employed in am ISP company for a period of more than 3 years, I have interacted with various fors of internet supply gadgets and equipments, I have trained youth on how to do the job and finally employed some and others found employment in other places

06.08 Justification for my startup

The world is quickly evolving to be a global village and to make that possible we have to make people connected to electricity and Internet, I chose to go with internet since it has different forms of making it accessible the people, if we reach the girl in Turkana, the self employed youth in Migori are a PWD in Kajiado they can easily speak out or find a solution to their problem just by sharing it to the internet.

Currently the main competitors are POA internet what I know will make me stand out from them is customer service and response to clients when they are facing a problem with network connection.
