01.01 Describe your startup in more detail
The project of which Gemara is applying for is entitled purchase of branding machines to facilitate 1.Consistency: Branding machines ensure consistent and uniform application of branding marks or logos on products, resulting in a professional appearance and enhancing brand recognition. 2. Efficiency: They are faster and more effective. 3.This project seeks to provide 100 Youth with business management training, equipment training and Branding & marketing skill to start their business venture. Total number of direct beneficiaries will be 100 youths i.e 50 women and 50 men. Indirect beneficiaries who majorly comprise youths; siblings, parents and extended families will total to 1100 as each youth will nearly have up to about 11 dependants around him or herself. The beneficiaries of this project come from Kibra Constituency in Kenya; an area predominantly occupied by Poor and needy people living below a dollar a day and reside within the slum area. These are a marginalized community.

Through attaining the branding machine,we will be able to solve the problem that exists at Gemara that needs to develop and implement a branding machine or system that effectively communicates the brand identity, values, and message to the target audience across various marketing channels. This includes establishing a consistent visual identity, messaging, and customer experience to build brand recognition and loyalty. The challenge lies in creating a cohesive branding strategy that resonates with the target market while also being adaptable to different platforms and marketing initiatives.we will also effectively infuse youth's skill sets to put to use their talents on customer’s overwhelming demand for branded products and services. And in return gain profits that we can plough back to our operations and other needs of the community at large. This project seeks to provide 100 Youth with business management training, use of the branding and marketing equipment to start their businesses, and seed money.The beneficiaries of this project come from Kibra Constituency in Kenya; an area predominantly occupied by Poor and needy people living below a dollar a day and reside within the slum area. These are a marginalized community whereby one out of almost a thousand children pursues secondary education, most being boys. Owing to cultural and economic hindrances, Youth in Kibra constituency remain some of the most financially excluded. Our solution to this problem is to equip Youth with the skills and tools to build a stream of income and uplift themselves out of poverty. The training will assist the Youth to either find job placement,create a business, or expand a business they already own, allowing them to generate more income for themselves and their families.The Youth will undergo training for specific skills needed for job place

Out of the skill attained and the seed capital that will be offered, the return on investment i.e., profit that the youths will accrue from the business will help keep the business afloat and when they are fully stable and running, they will give back to the community by supporting at least one of their fellow youths in the community and the snowball effect will roll over from one phase to another. The training will assist the Youth to either find job placement, create a business, or expand a business they already own, allowing them to generate more income for themselves and their families. The Youth will undergo training for specific skills needed for job placement or building a business, in the specific areas of sewing, fashion and design. The Youth will be technically trained with vocational skills and with financial and marketing skills as well hence able to generate income on their own business or job placement elsewhere. From the data we have collected, we know that usually, these Youth don’t just use their income to support their immediate family; they also support their extended family, which brings that number closer to 11 people impacted by each Youth having a business. Therefore, by providing 95 Youths with companies, close to 1,100 people will be directly impacted by their income within 1 year. We, therefore, will work with Youths who have at least one dependent either in school or even parents or guardians to build a small business to help ensure that these youths can continue to educate their dependents, feed their families,and provide healthcare for themselves and those they care about. Other ways in which the Project will improve the life of the youths include but not limited to: (a) Enhancing economic empowerment of Youths.
