MulaStream is an investment platform that connects risk-averse investors with African pre-seed startups. The platform facilitates a tech-driven due diligence and valuation processes, invests, educates investors and prepares startups for funding.

MulaStream is an innovative investment platform designed to address the challenges of raising pre-seed capital for startups in Africa, initially focusing on Namibia and expanding to Southern Africa and beyond. The platform bridges the gap between risk-averse investors and startups seeking funding by offering a comprehensive solution. It not only matches investors with startups but also delves into understanding the investment preferences of investors, enhancing their investment knowledge, and incubating startups to ensure they are funding-ready. MulaStream tackles the problem of limited funding for startups by educating investors, helping them identify suitable investment opportunities, and preparing startups through a tech-driven due diligence and business valuation process. This approach ensures that startups are well-packaged and ready for investment, thereby mitigating the risks for investors.

The main problem MulaStream is solving is the significant funding gap faced by pre-seed startups in Africa due to risk-averse investors and unprepared startups. Many investors are hesitant to invest in early-stage startups because of the perceived high risks and lack of reliable information. On the other hand, startups often struggle to secure funding because they are not adequately prepared or packaged to attract investment. MulaStream addresses these issues by providing a platform that connects investors with suitable startups, offers tech-driven due diligence and business valuation processes, educates investors to make informed decisions, and incubates startups to ensure they are investment-ready. This comprehensive approach reduces investment risks, enhances investor confidence, and improves the readiness of startups, ultimately bridging the funding gap and fostering a more robust entrepreneurial ecosystem in Africa.

The service we envision creating represents an entirely new type of service as it does not currently exist in Namibia. The service we envision creating is an improvement on an existing product or service as we are not aware of a platform in Namibia that incorporates investment and assisting startups. The service we envision creating responds to a demand or need that has not been satisfied by other service, as there is a demand for pre-seed investment in startups and support for startups in Namibia and Southern Africa. The service we envision creating is a new version of an old service by digitising the investment management process and incubation support on one platform.
