Our core focus lies in the manufacturing and distribution of affordable plastic biogas tanks and starter liquids, aimed at providing sustainable energy solutions for household use. By harnessing the power of biogas, we aim to mitigate the environmental impact caused by traditional cooking methods such as charcoal and wood, which contribute significantly to deforestation. Our innovative approach utilizes farm and kitchen waste to produce biogas, offering a renewable energy source for cooking, heating water, and generating electricity. Our mission at Nam-Biogas is to empower rural and farm communities in Namibia with sustainable energy solutions that not only improve their quality of life but also contribute to environmental conservation. Through the provision of biogas tanks and comprehensive education on their effective usage, we strive to foster self-reliance.

Nam-Biogas endeavours to tackle multifaceted challenges prevalent in rural and farm communities of Namibia through the widespread adoption of biogas tanks. By offering an alternative to traditional non-renewable energy sources like charcoal and wood, our biogas tanks address issues of deforestation, environmental degradation, and indoor air pollution. These tanks provide a decentralized, renewable energy solution, alleviating energy poverty and enhancing access to modern amenities such as clean cooking facilities and electricity. Moreover, by utilizing organic waste materials for biogas production, we contribute to sustainable waste management while generating valuable energy resources. This approach not only mitigates health risks associated with traditional cooking methods but also promotes socio-economic development and environmental conservation in Namibia. Through our commitment to innovation and community engagement, Nam-Biogas aims to foster a greener, healthier country.

Particularly, women and children benefit from reduced indoor air pollution associated with traditional cooking methods. Kevanhu Alfred Muifi graduated in 2017 with an honours degree in Industrial Psychology and Ceramics studies. He has been working at the Museum Association of Namibia as the Curator of the Museum of Namibian Fashion since 2018. He acquired soft skills during his employment such as administration,community-based development, project management, graphic design, videography and exhibition development. Has extensive experience working on projects in rural areas that provide skill transfer initiatives and self-employment to the youth. Facilitated the first Virtual Museum in Namibia which allows online visitors to access the museum and also buy products from local fashion designers.
